Hey folks, I picked up some of these 10r  fab defense mags. Loaded them up and did a few insertion and release checks, seemed good to go. I wanted to have some 10's and they were gifted. Quality seems good minor flashing but fell off as soon as loaded. Can't imagine any feed problems with such short mag, but I'll let y'all know if they suck!

If you look for 'Mako' or better yet "E-Lander", you'll find some hits. There are different revs/versions of the E-Lander mags - basically the new ones work in pretty much most guns folks try them in. The older ones has issues in some guns with seating depth. A lot of these older ones hit the market during a magazine scarcity a couple years ago, there were apparently some problems with a particular Mako rep, and there's still a lot of bad feelings left over from that.

This thread is pretty recent, and is regarding the new version: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_17/671033_Mako_mags.html
Typically most responses there boil down to either "they work for me" or (from guys still angry about the old version) responses of "I hate Mako".

These threads are regarding an older version of them, different from current production; but they explain a lot of the issues/angst regarding E-Lander mags: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_2_400/238896_Mako_E_Lander_Magazine_Review__56k_Watch_Out_.html

Short version - if you have the new rev, they're probably fine. If you have the old rev, they'll work in a lot of guns but not all. (The ways to tell 'old version' from 'new version' are pretty easy, and detailed in those threads.)

Serious. Never seen that version before.

I have a handful of the Rev-3 E-Lander steel magazines:
Attachment Attached File

and haven't had any problems with them; unlike the Mod-2 versions that are known to be incompatible with some guns (including some of mine). Only issues with them is that their finish is kind of slick and not particularly grippy.

Don't believe I've seen those polymer ones before.
