So I'm not a complete "Tacticool" person but saw a pmag that looked like carbon fiber, assuming it's hydro dipped, are there any side effects to this as long as I only go up to slightly past the magwell line?

Dip the whole mag.  Wear spots will wear off ;)

If I were going the hydro dip route, I'd dip the whole mag. Like the previous poster said, the top portion will wear in.

Ah. Thanks. I currently have six, I was gonna buy 4 more then dip half of the ten to see if I like it. Thanks guys.
