Question for the hive.

Has anyone experienced failure to load issues using Pmag in extreme cold conditions?

I was using a few types of magazines at the range and the one 20 Pmag I was using consistently failed. The rounds failed to strip from the magazine and chamber on a number of occassions. I was firing reloads, m193 and tula.

All other magazines ran flawlessly

The magazine has run flawlessly in warmer conditions it's fairly new only 100 rounds or so through it.

The temperature was roughly 15 degrees

This was the only Pmag I had on hand, so I'm comparing it to other outings in warmer settings.

Pmags are good to well below what temps most consider extreme cold.

The only issues every seen was in Army testing at like negative 40-50 deg F.

Magpul has said they have changed their formula and it's not an issue anymore.

The straight ones are the only pmags I have ever had issues with. The new m3 20 rounders have been flawless so far.

Sounds more of a gun problem then a magazine problem.  Strange that
other magazines are working.  I would just use that magazine for range
work..

I have shot in some pretty cold weather and never had a problem using my
20 round PMAG's.  I own both straight & M3's..

What kind of lube are you using?

15 is cold? Gen 2 and 3 20s and 30s work fine in the winter in Minnesota.

Something is jacked up then.  Send it back to PMag, they'll replace it.
