Will these magazines be available for viewing at the NRA Convention in April?
|

Well that is just awesome. I'm assuming that these will actually be reliable drum mags, as magpul generally doesn't release products with problems. This will convince me to finally buy a drum mag(in a year after I'm no longer a full time student and can afford it)

I won't lie: I would have preferred a 50rd quad-stack for a few reasons (ease of carrying, ease of handling, weight, etc.).
OTOH, this drum looks pretty cool, so I'll probably buy one anyways. :) |

THIS will put Surefire out of the magazine business!
PLEASE offer it with the clear back |

Anyway to pre-order Magpul? Curious how it will compare to my X-Products drum. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m317/airforcefd/Daniel%20Defense%20Rifles/10421596_10153011940672053_675105348487049109_n_zpsbd6f6fed.jpg View Quote Chauchat? |

Cool.
I am absolutely baffled that the SAW didn't jam up from being fed through its stupid magazine well.

As per Magpul's Facebook page, The "D-60" Drum Mag WILL NOT be available until "SPRING/SUMMER 2015"!!!
Magpul has ALOT on their plate with even more products this year and branching off into the Steel Reinforced AK mags and AK furniture and either a dozen or 2 dozen new products at Shotshow. Thats why the stuff isn't ready to be shipped yet. They have more ideas/protypes than they can produce right now so Im sure thats why they wait awhile to release info is to not catch hell about delays (an to avoid counterfeiters.) Im sure they wait til they have a prototype to "Patent" before they show us. |

I will absolutely buy one of these as soon as it becomes available. If I find it to be VERY reliable, I'll buy a couple more. I love the look of drum mags and having a bunch of rounds ready to go without reloading. I've checked out other drums and there was always an issue for me. The Beta I had wasn't reliable enough to trust for anything other than range fun. The X products 50 rounder my buddy has worked flawlessly but was just too expensive or at least was when I first checked them out. Surefire 60 and 100 quad stacks are too long and I've heard have reliability issues(I've never tried one though). If the PMag D60 ends up being reliable, which being a Magpul products I suspect it will, it will be perfect for me....I can't wait

When you tried to feed a SAW from a magazine before, were you using brand new magazines? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I am absolutely baffled that the SAW didn't jam up from being fed through its stupid magazine well. When you tried to feed a SAW from a magazine before, were you using brand new magazines? I did.... Jam o matic. Every time I used a mag to feed it, the SAW jammed,(every one, wasnt just one specific SAW...all of em throughout my entire 4 years in the Marine Corps infantry). This drum mag looks interesting... |

It is most interesting that MAGPUL chose a drum design over the Quad stack design line.

Why is it the price of 13 mags? Serious question View Quote Adding to round count RELIABLY is like making cars go fast. After a certain point, every increment gets more and more expensive. The parts count on this drum is a lot more than on a 30rd mag. It's not a cost effective way to carry a total of 60 rounds that will reliably feed. It IS the most cost effective way to carry 60 rounds that will reliably feed in ONE magazine, at least in our fairly extensive testing. Because, this is America, after all. |
