Roughly three years ago, I started posting my invention here for the purposes of two things: Finding someone that would help to bring back to the States; Bringing my invention to the market. Right before the Thanksgiving of 2012, I came back to the States, and settled in El Paso, TX; Before the end of the year, I am approaching to fulfill my second goal. If you don't know what I am talking about, here are the two link of stories I posted before:

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/554275__ARCHIVED_THREAD____Longziz__1__a_new_way_to_use_an_AR_lower_receiver.html&page=1

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_17/557754_Longziz__2__The_only_Universal_AR15_Magazine.html

I am now on the waiting list to become an ARFCOM industrial sponsor. So I am still not be able to fully advertise my product and business, one of the reason being I am still not fully ready to release it yet. However, per the permission of the Mod of this forum, I am given the opportunity to give away free magazine for the qualify ARFCOM member to test. I will gather the feedback, good or bad, and try to finalizing the magazine as soon as possible.

Three years seems too long for a project like this, but for my case, it seems it is the way it is. Long story short, what I am offer ing is an AR15 magazine that capable of feeding the majority caliber Center firing RIFLE cartridge to AR15 rifle, or any other rifle that accept STANNAG 4179 GI magazine. Currently, the tested caliber and capacity are as follow

223/556/300BLK: 30
5.45X39: 29
6.8SPC: 26
7.62X39: 25
6.5 Grendel: 24
458 SOCOM: 12

For my own test results, please go to my youtube channel here:

https://www.youtube.com/user/aerostar4566630

My friend Oleg Volk have some preliminary review and exposure here:

http://olegvolk.net/blog/2014/11/22/...me-with-tavor/

https://www.facebook.com/rosszhengengineering

Due to resource limit, other odd ball caliber are not tested, but I am asking whoever has those to pitch in to help.

To expend the test both for my potential customer and general shooting enthusiasts, I am giving away 20 (depending on the response and the number of qualified member, this number can be increased)[/span] collectible Unimag for the ARFCOM member here to test and keep. This is offering to general shooting sport enthusiasts, so if you are an professional firearm reviewer, please contact me directly so you can by pass this selection. However, please do provide your past work so I can recognize you.

Here is my selection standard and request, plus some info of what you are going to get:

1. The magazine will come with Cerakote coated Stainless Steel in black, with black follower. The production follower color will be different. It has the same exterior dimension and look as a regular STANNAG 4179 magazine, with some distinguishable features. The magazine shell will be serial numbered, and the number will be between 001 ~ 200. That means, only 200 of them will ever be produced. The magazine will be ship at the beginning of next year, the exact day is depending on how soon my supplier can provide the sample.

2. The selection standard is that you need to have at least two AR caliber upper to participate, the more different calibers, the better chance being selected. In terms of what counts "two", here is an example, 223Remington and 556 Nato or 223 Wylde are not considered as "Two" different caliber. However, 223/556 vs. 300BLK are considered as two caliber, so does 204 Ruger, although they share the same base case. That's been said, I am looking for "dramatically different" caliber, such as 223 vs. 7.62X39. So if one person has 223/556 and 300BLK or 204 Ruger, another person has 223/556 and 7.62X39, I will pick the later one, given no other choices, etc.

3. Only center firing refile caliber is considered eligible, pistol caliber and 22LR are not considered as eligible.

4. For participants who claim he has the so called caliber, It would be better if you link your previous post on this forum to show you actually have it. Your chance of being picked will be enhanced if you do have those proof. Borrowing from a friend do not count.

5. You are welcomed to do any test with the magazine. However, I am NOT looking for any destruction / torture test. It is a metal mag, it will be very similar to other metal mag strength wise. If you choose to do it anywhere, by all means, but there is no replacement.

6. I am asking whoever received the magazine post his/her results here. Picture will be appreciated, video will be more suitable. Please specify what caliber was shoot for how many rounds, with how many times of jam (or lack of), plus possible cause, if identifiable.

7. I will choose some best representative feedback from you and offer further free stuff.

8. For member that living in a not-so-gun-friendly states, please check your local law to make sure your state allow "large" capacity magazines. I will reserve the right not shipping my magazine to states like CA, NJ, NY, CO, DC, MD, etc.

9. I expect to have the test results in two month after the tester received the magazine. If you need more time to do it, please let me know, I can't include you for further reward though. I hope you understand.

10. For those member who participate in my original posts three years ago, if you want to participate, you will have priority. However, my request above still apply. I will keep this thread open until the day the mags are under final welding procedure.

11. [span style='color: red;']This is a general public test call, so the participant has to have an unbiased background to participate. If you are a magazine manufacturer, or affiliated with one, or personal friend to one, or you can not be objective on providing a review, then please do not participate. Thanks![/span]

[span style='color: green;']I will reserve the right of selection[/span], however, you are all welcome to point out any inconsistencies and holes of my rules and requirement. I will answer any question you may have, but please be patient if it is not responded promptly. I am still busy tweaking the last leg of the manufacturing.

Thank everybody who would participate, and thanks ARFCOM for providing such opportunity.

Since my mailbox here is small, for private inquiries, please contact me at [email protected]

Best,

Dr. Jing Zheng

Hi,

Do you mind to send me the link that you may posted before showing off your rifle? This is not absolutely necessary, but sure would help me to make a quick decision.

Please note this is a 7.62x39 Armalite SPR Carbine the 5.56 P-Mag was for arts sake.

Dr. Zheng,  again its a neat thing you are doing and I do hope things work out well for you.

I've been following you since a long time ago. Thanks for the email. I was beginning to wonder why you fell off the face of the earth. I'm absolutely dying to have a magazine that isn't either ridiculously long or too short for my 7.62x39.

I have the 7.62x39 and 5.56. I also have access to 300BLK and every other caliber pretty much. PSA is only 5 miles away if i need something :).

when you say only 200 mags will be made you mean for testing and evaluating right?

because i plan on getting a 7.62x39 AR in the near future and this will be perfect to have rather than buying specialized magazines, i can just buy a bunch of these and use them for my 5.56 as well as my 7.62x39.

7.62x25 / 7.62 Tok / Mini whisper, what ever you want to call it. I use 200 gr and heaver bullets with the Tok brass in a .308 barrel with a long throat Tok chamber and regular .223 mags for feeding.

I have a 556 rifle....

Now.... While I understand that you make a requirement to own, I have access to AR's in different cartridges. This person would allow me to shoot his stuff at anytime except on Sundays. I just dont have the cash to acquire that kind of hardware yet but since he a close friend of mine and I do some work for him, he lets me shoot his stuff so I could test your mag with his stuff. All of them are AR-15's. I also know people at a local gun range to me who could also let me use some of their exotic cartridge AR's in some wildcat variants that are designed to work in STANAG mags. I would be honored to test your mag out along with a some help as well.

Your list would be a dream to me. However, a rule is a rule, borrowing from a friend does not count, because maybe your friend is more qualified to be a tester. Nothing against you, but I have to be fair to all other member who has shown interests.

Because they are bearing serial number. The production will only carry a production batch number. I want these mag to have some collectible value, so people would have incentive to use their own gun and ammo to test it for me.

Ah - you're setting up a limited initial run with serial numbers, but will produce standard mags after that. Makes sense, thank you.

Ok, the mags are under welding today and tomorrow, it is time to reveal the tester.

Since we have barely 20 participants, and judging by the caliber varieties, here is my pick:

Gamma762, Peligro113, fan, MTNmyMag, wvhillbillie, uniquesnd, PicatinnnyPete, dtrosch, radian23, Wessinger03r6, mak91, mlr052869, CA_TX-Cop, Willz, alemonkey, Wipeout, JoshAston, Redraider1, K9-Bob.

SlowTA, please send me an email  to verify your email and ID together. You are also picked if you are who I think you are.

Gamma762, mak91, Willz, Redraider1 and K9-Bob, I can't tell if you are living in a non-capacity restriction state. Otherwise, I can't ship it to you.

JoshAston, if you can find someone in VA to receive the mag on your behalf, then we can do it. Otherwise, I have to pass this to someone else.

My IM box is full, so please send me your shipping address through this email: [email protected]; in it, please specify your ID here. After that, please reply this thread again so I know it is really you. Please provide a phone number for shipping purpose as well.

Cag40Navy, please ask your friend to send me an email. You are in CO, right? Don't you guys have 15 round restriction now?

zoe17, balog, don't be disappointed, you will get one once I start production.

I hope this will make everybody happy!

Happy new year!

Jing

Last minute requirement:

I never thought about this but It just occur to me that this is a public test call, and for whoever want to participate, you CAN NOT be another magazine manufacturer, or affiliate with one. I need an Objective review, good or bad, but I can't let the business interest get into the way. I think this is a fair requirement but I think I need you honest response. I can't trace every member's background so I am calling to you all to help me to keep this test an objective one.

Best,

Jing

The only affiliation I have with any magazine manufacture is as an investor, I give them my money and they give me magazines in return
