I recieved my magazine today but when I try to insert the mag it won't lock in I have a delton echo316 my pmags and usgi mags inserts fine is there a problem with the magazine? I tried to put in 20 rounds loaded mag and unloaded mag both won't lock in I bought 4 and the same results with all
[#15]
Can you tell where it's hitting? In that picture the mag is way to low to seat, is that the most you can insert it?
[#16]
Yea that's the most I can insert I tried forcing it up but it won't lock in I tried 4 mags with the same result but when I insert my pmag and usgi mag it locks in just fine
[#19]
I have never seen this before. Taking a good look around can you see what is stopping it from seating? It doesn't look like the over insertion tab on the spine is hitting....
[#20]
The only thing I can see stopping it from seating is the rear texturing from letting it up more
[#22]
Hmm. OK. Just out of curiosity, what gen are your Pmags? I'm wondering because gen 2 pmags don't have the over insertion tab, and gen 3 pmags do.
Either way, if you feel confident that the over insertion tab on the back is what is preventing it from seating, you can take a file or a dremel and remove some material from that tab and it should seat. If you can't get it to work, we will take them back and give you a full refund. |
[#23]
PS. IF you need help or want to ask any questions before doing it, please feel free to IM me and I can give you a call tomorrow.

[#24]
Thanks for your help I will try to dremal the mag and give you the update
[#25]
I've seen similar issues, but not as pronounced, in S&W lowers. With a very shallow or no mag well bevel closest to the trigger guard, the raised over-insertion portion of the mag bottoms out early. On the S&W it's right on the edge of seating and just requires a firm tap to seat it and get the mag catch to hit the notch in the mag.

We will have to look at making a change to perhaps lower the over insertion tab just a bit. So far we have only seen this one instance, with Vuong0916 where the over insertion tab actually prevented the mag from seating. There have been a few other cases where the lower was not even close to a spec lower, what I call decorative lowers, where they hit our top rib. But this is the first I have heard of the over insertion tab actually preventing the mag from seating. Either way, we want our mags to be compatible with as many different makers as possible so we will take a look at this and figure out a resolution. |

Thanks for posting back. Approximately how much did you have to take off?

[#29]
I dremaled around half of the textureing just to make sure it would fit. I used the dremal at work so I couldn't test fit it there
[#30]
I had to dremel all 7 of mine to get them to fit in a spikes lower and a palmetto lower. Not a big deal, but would prevent me from buying a large quantity of them.

Yeah Eric,
We knew when we removed the rear leg it would have no affect on the anti tilt of the follower. We were happy that it also keeps the follower from breaking in extreme impacts like you experienced in your testing Eric. The rear leg was simply there to act as a spring guide, but since we also put a spring guide on the base insert at the bottom of the mag, that back leg was overkill and not needed. All in all, it turned out to be an improvement with regards to breaking. As far as changing the follower to put the top round on the right side, we do plan to do that, but it will be a bit down the road since we have to get a new follower mold made to do that. |

Thanks, I appreciate it. i did a super quick fitting of the mags in some lowers of mine. the mags did fit in all of my lowers (Spikes, PSA, S&W, Anderson w/ trigger guard and New Frontier Armory 80% billet). my PSA originally wouldn't fit because my CMMG 22LR drop in was installed and that prevented the mag from seating. i didn't have time to do a cycling or bolt hold open test. that will come later. i love the mags and hope to test fire them soon. |

What the hell, the M-I-L sent me a check for my birthday. She said, "Buy something you want!" So, I did.
The website was being a bit glitchy, yelling at me that I had to fill in my shipping address info, even though I had the box checked to use my billing address, but I eventually got everything straightened out and ordered. Awwww, crap, I misspelled my hometown. EDIT: PM sent EDIT #2: At least the charge went through to my CC! |

Finally got to the range today and tried out 3 of the 8 I purchased a few weeks ago.
These are quickly becoming my new favorite mags!! |
