Have you guys used these at all? What is the satisfaction level?
It seems that there is quite a bit of complaining about the Gen 3 PMAGs, but the draw of a 40 mag is great. I have some other (C products??) 40 rounders kicking around somewhere, the magpuls would seem to be interesting to me.

I have been slacking on rifle mags lately, I need to pick some up.

My buddy has a ton of them....never a single hiccup in the thousands of rounds I've seen him put through them. They're way too long for using off of a rest or bipod but for standing up and blasting away they are GTG

They run fine out of all of my guns. But I think they look stupid and I don't like Gen 3 pmags.
|
|
[#13]
I like them but havensome Bulgarian 35- & 40-rounders I currently use. They have metal reinforced lips.
|

[#16]
Work great for me too. I use them for 3 gun and rifle matches.
|
|
[#17]
They don't fit in all of my lowers because of the tab that keeps them from being seated too far. I think its useless, they also wobble more than my gen 2 mags. They get a pass because they are 40 rounds but I won't own any more gen 3 30s

I have one; it performs extremely well -like everything else that Magpul makes. Though I might pick up a Surefire 60-rounder for S&Gs.

I have been using them since they first came out. I have seen more than their fair share fail. We use them in 3gun for really big stages looking for that no-mag-change advantage, or for matches that don't allow for couples mags to make a more stable base prone. A lot of friends have sent theirs back. Some have secret tuning tips they use to get them to be more reliable. They don't like steel cased ammo at all, they jam up where the two doublestacks come together, and they don't handle long-loaded ammo well either. I load my match stuff to 2.250" and thus far its been good. I have two, and one of them has been flawless, the other has jammed up once. I will say this, everyone who uses one says a little prayer right before the buzzer. I only bring mine out on the stages that require it, which is around twice a year. I'd trust my life to a PMAG 40. A surefire? No way. No how. |

The 10 I have run flawlessly in my M-16. You can't beat them for the price.

I have two Surefire 60's and a surefire 100 and I haven't had any trouble with mine. I'm not rough with them, but I've ran a lot of steel cased ammo through the three I have and I haven't had any malfunctions. I find them much better functionality than my Beta drum.
Of course I'll stick with my magpul 40's for rougher use or in bad weather since waking the Surefire apart is a good bit more work than tossing a pmag back in the range bag. |

I bought like 5 last time PSA had a sale on them, I haven't used them and don't have a huge use for them over my 30s but I figure I should atlas own a couple for those who can't

I like mine and even threw a couple in the bug out bag.
Ohio's law sucks where I can use it in my M16 but if I put it in my semi I'm breaking the law. |

A happy coincidence? Primary Arms has PMAG 40s on sale for $15.99 apiece.
