With minimal care (i.e. don't let the springs rust, and don't crush them) those 8 Colt mags will outlive you and the next guy.
I bought a box of the NHMTG mags when the Klinton-era ban ended.
Never used any of 'em until one of my rifle-team buddies needed some gear.
He shot four of my NHMTG mags with full success for a few months, and then gave 'em back to me.
I have been using this one "main" 20-rounder for over 20 years.
At least 10,000 rounds through it.... maybe 20,000
Now, truth-be-told, its actually an "Adventureline" which I picked for my "range mag" back when I got my very first AR half-a-lifetime ago.
Since I didn't recognize the name, I figured I'd "test it" to see if it worked, and if it got lost, well, what the heck.
The test is ongoing, but so far, I'd say it has a good chance of passing.
My other three range mags are Colt-marked though.
Same story. They just keep going and going.
Man,... the places those mags have carried me...
