Lol you're welcome. I didn't think I was making a bad decision for $9 especially considering the cheapest mag I can find in store is $15 and that's a tapco, not the best. I ordered 5 of the PMAGS.

Sorry, but is this a serious question? Pmags are basically the industry standard for being reliable and bulletproof, are used by LEOs and the .mil.

I think the Gen 2's are ok, but from what I hear in GD the Gen 1's belong in the trash can next to all the AK's...

This. I have aluminum and steel mags, but mostly gen2 pmags. Have put thousands of rounds through them flawlessly. Best mag money can buy imo.

They are junk, don't use them! Send them to me for proper disposal!

It was a serious question,  seeing as I don't know a whole lot about magazines. There's only 100 of companies that make mags. And i wanted to make sure they were good mags before I spent the money on them. Does someone always have to be a smart ass when someone asks an honest question?

His response is a common, tongue in cheek reply around here.
"Hey, check out the DWM P-08 I scored for $75.00!"
"Those old guns are dangerous! Send it to me for proper disposal!"
He wasn't trying to be a smart ass.

I have a lot of Gen II P-Mags.
I've had no problems.

You're going to need to grow thicker skin if you plan on sticking around.

Pmags have had an A+ reputation for over a decade, so when some asks if they are any good, its hard to believe you haven't read the hundreds of thousands of reviews and torture videos and service men accounts from Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have read some reviews on PMAGS but I also remember reading that there is 1 generation that wasn't as good as the newest and I wanted to make sure the Gen 2 were worth buying or if I should buy the Gen 3's. My skin is plenty thick trust me.

Gen2 is great for the ar platform if you have a scar or some of the others Gen3 may fit better.

Like the man said - wasnt trying to be a smartass. there are literally thousands of threads and reviews about these magic pieces of polymer. I have several gen2s, just purchased a couple more, and will  purchase more in the future.

No, the Gen 1 were the ones that earned Pmag's reputation.    I still use Gen 1 and they work 100%.

I've never had an issue with a Gen 2 Pmag. I even dropped a fully loaded FDE Gen 2 Pmag in Iraq and caused about a 2 inch crack down the spine and it still worked and dropped free. I sent it to Magpul when I got back and replaced it for free. If you can find Gen 2 Pmags for under $10, I say jump on them!
