Does anyone know about this thing? I can't find very much info about it. Are they rare? What is it worth?

It's rare. Only made in a small run when the pmag was first released. The last one I saw for sale was a few years ago. I think they wanted $100. No clue of current value.

Ive got a half dozen of them but mine arent bright orange like that. They are a bit darker.

There has been a non-window one in the EE for months around $70-80 and it's not moving. I guess the value will depend on the buyer

I traded my orange one for two 30rd OD PMags I've seen them listed for stupid money over $50.00 and they don't sell very often |

The picture makes it look allot brighter than it looks in person. It's not dyed and the date code is 2007.

My window and non-window orange PMags are more of a pumpkin colored orange...it sounds like the OP says that the picture makes his look brighter than what they really are. Now my orange thermold mags are MUCH brighter than the orange PMags.

There were 2 runs that I know of. The first run was orange, I have at least 1 left out of 6 I bought in 2006 or so. The 2nd run was a brighter orange and IIRC came from DSG Arms, they bought 10,000 or so ( IIRC, didnt buy any from them) for training/range mags. The 2nd batch were brighter, hunter orange type color, then the 1st batch.

All of mine were bought from DSG and are more of a darker pumpkin orange than a hunter orange (orange Thermold). From what I can remember they were an overrun of orange mags, that were purchased by an "agency" for training purposes, and DSG sold what was left over. I bought 7 non-window and 3 window mags, I would've bought more but that was all that DSG had left and there were no more available or to be made again they said. I'd have to try and find my receipt but this was probably around the 2006-07 time frame when I purchased them.

You guys are weird, I don't understand why you would want something like that so badly to pay much more than the price of a normal black Pmag. If it's so you "wont lose them" dropping them in tall grass or something, just paint them? Thats the only use I can see for them.
But who knows maybe I'm the weird one since I also don't like sub 20" ar's unless your going to be clearing a building *shrug*. |
