THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Just received my first order of three pmags and they arrived with small cuts in the bottom of each wrapper.

Inside the wrappers were a pmag with no spring or follower. They appear unused and the dust covers were in place.

Now, inside the box were three sets of springs and followers. The follwers were gray and there was an orange paintmark on each spring?

Couple of questions.

Is there any reason in the world for pmags to be shipped that way?

Are the follwers for black windowed pmags supposed to be gray?

Are the springs supposed to be marked with orange paint (one loop about a third of the way from the follower)?

I'm having a wtf moment here...

Where did you order the magazines from?

Sounds like they were shipped in "kit" form, a way to comply with CA state laws.

The paint on the spring is a loaded/ammo level indicator for the PMags using a clear window on the side of the magazine body.

The orange paint mark is the indicator for the round count window.

My followers are gray.

The only reason I can think of separating the mags and springs is to sell it as a magazine rebuild kit. This is done sometimes to get around state assault weapon bans with USGI mags. Which makes no sense because all P Mags are post ban.
I don't check back on threads. If you have a question, IM me.

Well, I had ordered three repair kits as well. So it looks like I got the repair kits but also got mags intended for the CA market.

I have contacted the dealer but I want to give them a chance to make it right before I plaster their name everywhere.

Am I missing something? You got the mags, but they just need to be assembled?
OVERKILL GOOD!

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Don't be a dick. He has a valid question about the springs and follower.

You ordered magazines and at the bottom of the page was a box to check to "Purchase repair kit. (+$1.49ea"?

You are right. I had selected this option thinking I was ordering repair kits.

Living in Utah I didn't even know that was an issue.
