THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I was bored and decided to airbrush camo five of my standard GI issue mags. The camo pattern blends in very well with Ohio crab-grass.

Is it really a great idea to camo the one part of your AR that might end up laying on the ground?

I didn't see the harm in it as my other mags are pretty much the same shade of green, and besides it was a fun afternoon project. Perhaps in order to suit you, I could paint them blaze orange and put a white stripe down the center of the mags. Yeah, like a Browns helment. By God, you've inspired me!

Bad idea.

That will make them easier to find when you drop them in the Ohio crab-grass.

Is that the new Browns colors?

Or are you gay and proud?

Wait...never mind you already said you were a Browns fan.

Seriously...the mags you painted look very out of place being the only part of your AR that isn't black. They stick out like a sore dick. But if you like them, that's all the matters.

I have some more research to do on painting before I do the whole rifle. Thanks for your observations, though.

We have a Refinishing Forum here, if you didn't already know that. A lot of good ideas and info there.
