Magpul makes base plates like that, for example. http://www.amazon.com/Magpul-PMAG-Round-Limiter-Black/dp/B005FSRDRA And then there are others, such as these examples: http://www.magazineblocks.com/magento/ http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=356046 |

Google mag block, there are a few variants that adhear to the floor plate without cutting. Or load to 15 and locktight a sleeve to the interior sides allowing it to only load that amount. To slow I guess with the other responders ^ |

Do you know if a plugged magazine would qualify? If so, all you need to find a stick or some type object that you could insert up through the spring and stop the follower at 15 rounds. No it cant be temporary. Law says it has to be a permanent fix. A pin would be considered temporary. |

I'd leave the magazines alone and move from that god-forsaken socialist shithole to a place where you can own what you want. Sorry... no offense towards you intended.... all directed towards the governments of the Socialist States of the NorthEast.... |

Fill the bottom of the mag with an MRE and then you will only be able to load 15 rounds which will make you leagal. That way the mags serve a dual purpose. If you get tired of shooting, you can always eat. |

Not bitching at anyone but me for taking a pass on at least 2+ cases of 100 C-Products 30rd SS mags at my local store a couple weeks ago because they wanted too much for them at $14.95. They sold 'em all before I got back less than 48 hours later... |

Come on guys...can we please stay on topic...3/4 of the postings in this thread have nothing to do with where to buy a mag...just sayin'...

I cut a mag down flush with the magwell, and used a hacksaw, tin snips, files, and a lot of time. I just copied the bottom, made tabs, and gently bent them over. Check with the folks in the New Jersey Hometown Forum for easier ways to make a legal mag http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_8/50_New_Jersey.html |

For crying out loud!, is that what's in store for us...Frankenmags? Out of a misfortunate fate of living in a godforsaken state such as NY or NJ, magazine surgery becomes a necessity....OMG |

Tactical Inc has 30 round Promags (24 In stock) for $39.99:
http://www.tacticalinc.com/promag-ar15m16-223-30-rd-blue-steel-magazine-p-2866.html No image on their site, but I think they are these: http://www.promagindustries.com/product-p/col-a1.htm The pro-mag site has them way cheaper, but can add 999 to cart. I tried to call them but got generic "high call volume blah blah blah" recording. EDIT: Promag front page sez: "12/20/2012 update: All high capacity magazines are on back-order. We are still taking orders but all high capacity magazines will take 4+ weeks to fill. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are trying our best to fulfill all orders. -Promag Staff" |
