Not the 55 gr, but the 77 gr. It's good to go. Functions fine, very accurate.

ETA. That's a good price. I may to pick some up.

I shot 40 rounds weekend before last.  Accuracy was good, about 4+ inches at 100 yds, using a 2 MOA red dot.  POI was an inch or two higher than the CBC at 100 yrs.  I presume the CBC 5.56 was loaded hotter.

Brass is heavy, 104 grs with spent primer.

I've used it as ramge ammo on several occasions when it was on sale at Cabela's. No problems; GTG.

Put about 500 rounds through my various rifles it's gtg no problems whatsoever. Accuracy varied a little from the four rifles but not like it was a big deal.

I know this is not the question, but I recently tested some Norma Match 77gr SMK out of a new JP 20" 1/8. It shot good, not as accurate as some other factory match ammo I've tried and certainly not worth $1.20 per round.

This ammo looks and shoots like Geco
10 round Norma Tac .223 group at 60 yards from my slightly warm 1-8 twist stainless PSA barrel
squares are 1 inch.

Im almost remember those two somehow being the same back in the 70's

Whats the headstamp markings on the norma?

That weight posted above is heavy.
I was thinking it may be a cheap source for norma  brass, but that heavy... maybe not.

Natchez had it for $289 with free shipping over the weekend. They turned off the free shipping coupon and raised the price $10. Then they added a 10% off coupon. I think for most people it's about $5 higher now.

I finally got a chance to shoot some Norma TAC-223, that I bought thanks to this thread...

so far I'm very disappointed. I shot it side by side with actual GECO 55gr .223.

100 yard 5 shot groups, PSA 16" middy, heavy barrel with Nikon 10X scope (and also Aimpoint Comp M2) from sandbag rest, good conditions:

GECO 1.6"
        1.45"
        1.8"

Norma TAC-223
        3.1"
        2.8"
        3.2"

Maybe this one particular rifle is allergic to the Norma TAC. I don't know. The groups from the Norma are XM855 in quality from this rifle. It's certainly not GECO!! How's everyone else doing?

I also compared it to Geco .223 last friday using a more solid rest than my first test.
Gun #1 16" Stainless 1-8 twist PSA Freedom with a cheap UTG Bugbuster scope at 9X with Free float handguard off sandbags.
90 yards 2 10 shot groups single loaded.
Norma groups were from 1.0" to 1.5"
Geco groups were from 1.5" to 3.0"
This gun loves the Norma and has same POI as ADI Outback Blitzkings.

Gun #2 16" Stainless 1-8 twist PSA Freedom with a Redfield Revenge crossbow scope at 7X Stock handguard off sandbags.
90 yards 2 10 shot groups single loaded.
Norma groups were around 2.0" to 3.0"
Geco groups were around 1.5" to 3.0"
Really no difference with this gun.
This gun also hates wolf gold. 3.0" groups at best if im lucky and actually groups better with Wolf Military Classic 62 gr.

Havent tried it out of my 1-7 twist gun yet as it only has a Red Dot sight.

Just grabbed another 1000 rds of Norma today from Freedom Munitions for $264 too my door,I used coupon code COMEBACK5 for 5% off.
It appears the box art is a little different then the batch I got from brownells so I hope it shoots the same.

Like you said. Maybe your gun doesnt like it. Just like my one gun hates Wolf Gold.

Good Luck.
