Howdy all,

Do any of you remember which of these are boxer primed & which were berdan primed?

Just got my Larue PredatOBR in .308 and I'm going to burn some of my 7.62 surplus ammo thru it to function check the rifle & mags, and to get it on paper before trying the Federal GMM pricey ammo I have put aside for it.

I can't remember which ones had which primers.  Of course I will know once I start shooting it buy I'm curious ahead of time.

Thanks!

Pretty much all were Berdan primed on the surplus market if Euro or S.A.

One can, if they want to invest the time, convert the cases to Boxer.

Not a biggie, much of it was pretty decent stuff.

The Port BP [not linked cans] was very good accuracy wise.

Some of the Hirtenberger and some of the Aussie is Boxer primed, but not all.

Port, South African, Radway Green, MEN, etc. is all Berdan.

ETA:  I was incorrect. There is some boxer primed MEN.

I STILL have about 800 rounds of 1999 Denel/PMP 7.62x51 that is boxer-primed. Paid $125 SHIPPED per 1K for it.....

CAVIM(Venezuala) is Boxer.
isreali is boxer.
Lithuanian(GGG) is Boxer.
Canuck(IVI) is Boxer.
SOME Hirtenburger is boxer but it has small flash holes.
I've heard a couple years of Aussie were Boxer.
I believe all RG(Radaway Green) is Berdan.( I have some Boxer RG headstamp but it's actually Hirt contract brass)
ALL South African is Berdan.
All Port is Berdan.
All FN is Berdan.
That nasty ass Czech is Berdan and corrosive.
ANY headstamp with TZZ or Hebrew on the headstamp is Boxer but corrosive.

Only some of the older TZZ stuff is corrosive . I bought a bunch of it surplus years ago. The change was some time in the 70's
