Sounds like that may very well be the culprit. I have only fired a case, split between a 16" carbine and suppressed 11.5" SBR. My lot was very acceptable for cheap plinking ammo.
I suggest you move away from printing groups with the Wolf Gold and just use it for knocking down cans or ringing steel. It will save you a bit of frustration if it is a bad lot. |

Your rifle may just not like it. It is possible you got a strange batch, but chances are, it just isn't what you want.
Wolf has a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their ammo IIRC, so you could actually send it back for a refund. |

I'd say let someone else try it in your rifles and or in another rifle or 2.
In my experience WG had shot around 2-2.5moa but 3-3.5moa would be acceptable for what it is. 4moa maybe but 5+ something is wrong with the ammo, rifle, or shooter. |

I've been getting 2-3 moa with WG55 and had a chance to chrono some the other day. Surprisingly consistent with 40fps spread, 11 SD, and 3044 avg out of bcm 16"

Frankly... it sounds like your barrels just don't like it.
If you didn't allow the barrel to "settle in" with it... I suggest your fire a 50 more rounds and see if the rifle groups better after 20 or so rounds. I have seen, in my rifles barrels, numerous distinct "personalities" when it comes to ammo. My PSA 20" SS FF1n7 just doesn't like 77gr ammo.... it loves the 75gr Hornady and .223 55gr GECO. On the other hand my Krieger 20" SS FF 1n7.7 loves the various 77gr ammo and the 5.56 GECO 55gr..... So IMHO.... your barrels want a different ammo. I suggest you try the 2 GECO's 9 5.56 and .223 ) and some MEN 56gr. |

I've gotten 5 shot groups around 2.7" at 100 yards from three different rifles. These were different lots of Wolf Gold. Two had red dot sights and one iron sights only.
Are you using a red dot, scope or iron sights? |
