Sure hope not. Excellent ammo in my guns. I stocked up on quite a bit when PSA had it on sale recently.

Guys... since this ammo came out, I have never been able to find it on Federals website.. ever.
I have looked for at least 3 1/2 years.... I checked my oldest order I could find, and it has been that long at least. And I am sure I ordered some prior to that, by a least a year. I have been checking daily for a price drop that is meaningful ( as in down to $6.99 / 20rds ) and did notice a drying up a few months ago, but it has come back and is currently selling on average at $10 / 20rds. |

I bought about 200 rounds from PSA last year for under $6/box, to see if was as accurate as I had heard. It was. Sadly, it was the last time I saw on sale, because I planned on buying 500-1,000.

I shot a ton of the Federal 50gr HP that Walmart used to sell in 200 rd value packs. Almost as accurate as the varmit tipped.

Cabela's has/d them on sale for $9.59 in a recent flyer. I have heard good about the 223GTV, but bad on the 223G

I just bought some of the GTV from Gander Moutain today. They had a good amount there. $10.99 a box. I only bought 1 box to try. They've got grey ballistic tips. Very cool.

I miss those cheap $6 a box AE 50gr "Varmint" 223 ammo from PSA. Very accurate through all of my AR rifles, and my friend's Daewoo. I bought 8000 rounds, which became my plinking ammo.... I guess I can't really do that any more. Kind of the same with CBC 77gr OTM, it is not available anywhere. My stash of 5k is slowly going down. |

My mistake was that I wanted to try it for myself before making a large purchase. When I did get around to shooting some in an accurate rifle and saw what it could do, the salad days were behind us (maybe?). Did the same thing with the Danish ammo several years ago...great 9mm, 5.56 and M2 ball for great prices, but then it was gone before I staked it.

Rob I actually sold all of my IMI M193 ammo to fund my AE 50gr 'VT' 223 purchase 
It is a bit odd since AE 50gr 'VT' is made in US... Unless they are holding out on us, I don't see why Federal won't continue to produce them. The ammo was and still is very popular, ... Federal should pump up production on those 'VT' ammo |

First the BS rumors about LC M193 now this! Everyone chill! We don't know this for sure!
As mentioned above it hasn't been on their list of products for a while! Also, PSA was the first and last place I ever saw it for less than $8. It will probably come around again! |

I bought a bunch at my local Academy Sports a couple months ago but it's not listed on their website right now.
It seems like the GTV comes and goes. I doubt it's discontinued. I've seen good but not great accuracy with it. |
