Thanks for you gracious offer.  I think I have some of it around here somewhere.  If I get some time this summer I'll give a shot (no pun intended.)

This load had a muzzle velocity of 3085 FPS with a standard deviation of 28 FPS when chronographed from the 20" Colt barrel.  A 10-shot group fired from my Lothar-Walter barreled AR-15 from a distance of 100 yards had an extreme spread of 1.32".

This load is topped with Hornady's 55 grain FMJ-BT bullet; the same bullet that is available as a reloading component.  This ammunition is loaded in steel cases.  When chronographed from the 20" Colt Barrel, this ammunition had a muzzle velocity of 3008 FPS with a standard deviation of 24 FPS.

A 10-shot group fired from my Lothar Walther barreled AR-15 at a distance of 100 yards had an extreme spread of 1.25".

Would you think similar results would be had with the brass cased FMJ or the soft point?

I could spend all day looking at the data you provide Molon, keep it coming!  I'm not surprised, but quite disappointed in the Core-Lokt performance.  Looks like I'll have to use what I have of it up.

That is some of the worst ammunition that I've ever tested, yet there have been posters on this website claiming they have achieved sub-MOA accuracy with it.

I began shooting my stash of the Turkish stuff up last week.  I was running drills pretty fast, and not really going for accuracy as much as effective hits.  I kept most of it within a 8.5"x11" sheet of paper.  When I did take precise shots it actually performed better than I expected.  I'm going to try to get back out and shoot some more with it and see how well I can get it to group.  There may have been some batches of this stuff that perform well, but I'm betting they are few and far between.

Molon is basically my hero... ten shot groups from now on for me. Upcoming test, 77 IMI vs 75 Speer GDSP (with apparently .4 bc?!? not sure I buy it...)

Note: probably not worth your time to test magtech 77, in your gun im guessing 1.75 for 10 shots, maybe closer to 2.00.

Anyhow thank you so much for all this data, never would have considered speer 75s without you.

Speer is more than a little optimistic with their BC. Last time we did this we decided it was .28 (G1) on the 75gr’s IIRC.

Hornady claims a ballistic coefficient of .274 and a muzzle velocity of 3100 FPS (from a 24" barrel.)  I'll be posting some chronograph data for it in the future.

When chronographed from a 20" chrome-lined, NATO chambered Colt barrel with a 1:7" twist,  the 223 Remington 62 grain Hornady Black FMJ load had a muzzle velocity of 2961 FPS with a standard deviation of 24 FPS.

A true M855 load will have a muzzle velocity of approximately 3100 FPS from a 20" Colt barrel.

Bryan Litz has reported the G1 as .288 and the G7 as 0.148.
