Just picked up this at walmart. I bet this is why they had the big sale, because the old boxes didn't sell because they had little information on them.

Mostly I think it didn't sell due to the high price.

the 5.56 was about $0.63/rnd when they first started selling it.

It was $9.97/30 or .33¢ a rnd. Best deal around.

New boxes still at $9.97? I was worried they would raise the price once they remodeled the boxes.

Not that I've noticed.

I need to be buying more of the 5.56, but every time I go in with the intention of doing so, it is hard to pass up $0.50cpr x51.

My local WW still has the three box limit. Went in last nigh to get three boxes of the 5.56 for me, and the Wife wanted three boxes of the 9mm NATO. Some crabby old lady behind the counter wouldn't let us put all six boxes on one transaction (we've done this with no issues about 5 times now), and I didn't feel like swiping my debit card three times at Wally World, so I just told her forget it. Went back this AM and got them.

Our WW is stocked with all of the ZQ1. I'd buy a 1000 rounds of each if they'd let me

That's the only 5.56 that stays in stock at my WM.  It was 9.97 on Monday.  I have a two box limit though.

Wow,  that sucks...

The only thing the Walmart's I have been to here in Texas still have a limit on is 22LR.

I started cleaning out the stores here of 7.62x51 when it dropped to $9.97/box.
I did have one guy raise an eyebrow when I told him I wanted all 20 boxes they had,
he thought there was still a limit, a quick call to customer service, and he was like,
would you like to double bag those? or would you like a box to put them in?

and last weekend, when they were having the sale on the ZQI, the sign specifically said "no limit" on any ZQI
and 3-box limit on the CCI 22LR.

I am surprised it was not flying off the shelf. I guess 9mm,5.56 and 7.62 is not is as much demand.
They were doing brisk business on the CCI 22LR. - I ended up buying a couple as an impulse buy.

They rang up @ $14.97 or the shelf tag is $14.97?
There are Walmart's around here that never changed the shelf tag, but they ring up $9.97.

Any opinions on how accurate the 7.62 is?
I've been shooting a lot of it but haven't compared it to a match grade round yet.
Groups seem to be all over the place even with more experienced shooters.

My local WM always have these in stock.  Wasn't sure if they are good or not. I'm still new to the .223/5.56 world.  So are these pretty good for range shooting/plinking?  And are they pretty dirty rounds or g2g?

It was in the walmart add.  No limits except 22 lr.  Look for the original thread.  Someone linked the add.

I think some stores impose their own limits.  In the one thread someone said they called corporate and they in turn spoke to the store manager and he then sold them no limit

Interesting, i just picked up 4 boxes at Wally World and they didn't had minimum or limit quantity.  Just got in from the range and I've been happy the way they've been firing.  At .33 a round around here i can't complain.

The Wal Mart near me doesn't seem to have any limits in place.  I grabbed 10 boxes of 5.56 and 5 boxes of 7.62 on Monday.  They may have limits on .22, but I haven't even bothered to look for any or ask.

No limit on anything but 22lr here. My Wal-Mart had the old boxes on "Close out about a week ago, I bought out all the 7.62 and 5.56 at $7.95/box and 9mm @ can't remember. So today they had gotten more, but it is still the old boxes and suddenly NOT on close out any more.
I've emassed 1,600~ rounds of the 5.56 and quite a bit of 7.62. Haven't even test fired any yet!

The "closeout" at $7.97/bx was a 2-day sale. I cleaned the stores near me out of the 7.62.

The Walmarts here have re-stocked and the 5.56 and 7.62 are back to $9.97/bx. -which is still a decent deal for brass cased
The 9mm is $12.97/bx
No limits here on anything but .22
