The shortage of US made .22 LR is a fact.  Many other countries produce .22 LR ammo. Why aren't we seeing it being imported.

In years past we saw .22 imported from Eastern Europe, Latin America, The Orient, some of it was good and some sucked.  Right now I bet there are plenty of folks who would be happy to have even some of the crappy steel cased Russian .22 that was around years ago.

Could it be that there are there are container loads of .22  on ships headed our way ?

It's regularly imported, and all sold out, too.  When a new container or ship arrives, it goes to the wholesalers, comes out to the distributors and on to the stores and disappears within an hour of going up for sale like all other ammo in the country has for the past three months.

Bigger ones are Eley, Lapua, Wolf MT, Aguila.

Just because you can't find it doesn't mean it's not being imported. Not a tech topic.
