THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Saw it for sale at academy and bought of few boxes of the 75 gr bthp.

I understand this is not a t2 bullet but any tests on how does on gelatin? Would be using it mostly for pigs a dither critters and I assume at 10-20 yards it would be fair as an HD round or am I missing something

Not sure... I've heard they tend to fragment, but I've never done any testing myself.
I do know that they are very accurate out of my 20" AR, however.

They're very accurate for practice, I've gone through a few boxes in my Predator. I'd recommend a more expensive, brass cased self defense type round for HD though. That's just because of personal preference against anything cheap when it comes to protecting my life.

The pigs will not like being shot with this ammo! I believe it is the same bullet used in TAP practice ammo, I believe is the T1 (or T1C) bullet, which performs pretty close to the T2C. Molon tested the TAP and TAP practice ammo, but cannot remember gel tests.
While it would also work well (if needed) for home defense, like the previous post- I'd prolly buy top shelf TAP (or your choice) before relying on steel cased ammo. My feelings are that if steel is used to save money, are any other cost saving methods used by the manufacturer (like turning up speed of loading machines or allowed charge weght) for shooting paper? If practice ammo fails, the consequece is usually not so great. I have fired thousands of rounds of steel cased and TAP practice without fail, but your life deserves the best you can afford. Many do use this as defense ammo, it will most likely serve you well.
It will put down pigs pretty well if you place your shot.

Edit-> Here is a link to Molons tests including the Steel TAP practice ammo. Hornady told me that the difference in Tap practice and steel match were small, as in slight steel case differences, here is a link to good info: Molon OTM tests
