Update went by today to get the wifes pain killers.
She had her 2 bottom wisdom teeth cut out monday.
Lortabs are a must for her.
NO I will not take Pics.

Anywhoo
Greg3 this dept manager also says the same thing.
The 4 cans were still there. Also talked to the dept manager looks like its going to be a regular item. Even though the Telzon says NRPL.
Also they had a Bushmaster M4gery type AR15 in the gun case said only 1 came in. Didn't think to see if was a NY or ME.

Now lets just hope the economy doesn't kill this goose before the golden egg is laid.

I picked up two cans of this at the Dawsonville, GA. Walmart yesterday evening.

Clerk said they only got 4 cans put out late Wednesday night, sold two first think Thursday am, then I bought last two about 6:30pm.

Got home and checked out the contents. WOW great stuff, NATO cross and LC 11 on headstamp!

Out the door price $159.43, each.

To be able to hand carry this great ammo in a can out the door at Walmart, priceless!

Outstanding.

Noob question but how many rounds are they selling in a can?

420 rounds each can, packed 10 rounds to a stripper, 3 strippers per cardboard sleeve plus one charging "spoon," per can. All I need to do now is pick up 4 bando's per can and I'm good to go.

By the way, the Dawsonville store did have the "Patrol," carbine on sale, $875 or something like that! Clerk said that they were figuring that this was a "test," run on the ammo and rifle to see how well received they would be and sales demand. I personally would love to see it continue and to see some good 7.62x39 ammo in cans added. Is it hoping for too much to also include 7.62x51? Heck, with Christmas coming on soon, I may buy the friends and family ammo for Christmas!

This is a pretty good deal if you just happen to run into it while you're at wally world. Beats paying shipping or 3% credit card fee mark-ups at gun shows (I must have my CC points!), but if you count in gas + time, it's really not much better than just ordering it from PSA for $160 shipped. Obviously the current Walmart stock of AE223 for $6/20rounds is the best deal there, but these xm855 cans are great for SHTF storage or if you feels like shooting holes through some steel.

My local Wal-Mart has several cans under the counter. Clerk says it's his understanding that it will be carried as a regular item.

We sold all 4 cans in 3 days and sold the Bushmaster M4 in 2 days.

For now the Danville, Ky.store is out. I'm glad or I should say my bank account is glad.

This. I really shouldn't have bought the can I bought, but my BCM upper came in and I couldn't help myself.

Anyone have an SKU # from their receipt, so I can call and see if my local store has these?

Checked all three local stores. None. Though the lady did say they will be getting their rifle section back and that is when they may have it.

I guess I do not understand so call me dense if I am..I can buy 21 boxes of the American Eagle AR223 at my local walmart for just over 6.00 a box so why would 420 rounds at 160.00 be a good buy at all? I do not get it..If I wanted to buy the Tula steel case from Walmart at 4.50 a 20 box I could get close to 800 rounds for 160.00 .Thanks

In my case, I wanted super fresh LC M855 and also wanted it on stripper clips for quick loads into empty mags. The way these are packed, on stripers, in cardboards, I only need 4- 4 pocket bandos that run about $3-4 dollars each. Then I can load the cardboards into the bandos and return to ammo can with desicant pack for long term storage.

I agree with you if all I wanted was loose boxed M193 equalivent ammo. Just my take but for my needs, It's worth it.

Price paid by Walmart $129.00, Non Replenishable, 4 on hand, 0 in transit, 0 in warehouse, and 0 on order.

Isn't this stuff Lake City. I have found pictures of it as Not for duty use but nothing in the thread says "Sold at Walmart"

Is this all in the eastern states? I checked nearby Walmarts in Austin, Round Rock and Pfeugerville this weekend and they had nothing.

Also, why does the box say,

CARTRIDGES, SMALL ARMS

on it?

Shouldn't it say,

CARTRIDGES, ASSAULT-WEAPONS, HIGH-POWERED, BLACK, DANGEROUS

on it?

None at mine. They're out of the AE223 they had a few weeks ago too. It goes fast here.

Just seen it at the McAlester, OK Wally World. No Bushmaster's but lots of hunting stuff on sale. I went ahead and bought a can of the XM855 for storage. I have some of the Not for Duty Use I sight in and plink with but figured this would be good to store for later.

I went by Green Tops (north of Richmond, VA) yesterday and they had the same cans for $179 each. WalMart is a deal compared to that.

I need to go check the store here. If they have it then I will just start buying a few cans a month from them.

This may be a crazy question but doesn't Walmart have free store to store shipping? Can you get them to get it shipped from another store if your Walmart doesn't carry it?
