Is this your first experience with them?
Earlier this week I got 1000 rounds of Centurion .223Rem 55gr FMJ for $340 from Ammunition to Go. It came in loose pack bags of 500 rounds each. So far I have stripper clipped 1 bag and had 1 extra round. The rounds had a better than expected polish and I didn't have any canted projectiles like some people have reported with this brand. Are you planning on shooting any of this stuff, or are you packing it away for a rainy day? I want to know what the stuff is like/what it's functional worth is, compared to other ammo. I've got a few K of Prvi 855 packed away, and the spamcan mentioned above I may leave sealed just because it's airtight. I'm wondering at this point what I'm actually going to shoot besides the cheap surplus 5.45 and some PMC .223 I've got left. Thanks for any answers. There's a big Centurion review thread in this forum, I'd rate it roughly equal with the PMC, and definitely behind the Prvi. |

Picked another 1K from Cope's. Prices are starting to fall. I'd like to wait longer, but with everything O's up to I'm just not sure what is going to happen, so I buy when the price is reasonable considering the political situation.

Bought it all from Wal-Mart one night about three years ago on a gift card, put it into a can still boxed and left it in a closet. I did the same thing a week or so ago, went in my basement and started looking around and found about 500rds total of 9MM, ,40 and 223 that I forgot I had. |

Another case/crate of 5.45. A bulkpak of Fed .22. A bulkpak of 12 gauge 00 Buck A bulkpak of 12 gauge Slugs. If the weather is nice this weekend, a couple hundred of the 5.45, half the .22 and all the 12 gauge will be gone. I'm learning to shoot lefty, because I'm left eye dominant. |

I went to range this week and zeroed my rifle with brown bear 62gr HP. Definitely not the same as UMC. But I kept about half of it for another day. Officially witnessed my first CLICK! with no bang. Firing pin hit the primer dead center but nothing happens. I tossed it out into the woods and kept right on shooting. Carrying the round to safety was the longest walk of my life though.

Ordering 500 rds. Lithuanian 5.56 62 gr green tip as we speak. Just trying to stock up a little bit at a time as $$ allows. Hlidays comming up will most likely slow down this process. I try to buy something to shoot and something for stock each month. |

Ok. well since this is my first AR and this is my first purchase to feed my LaRue Stealth I just picked up 100 rounds of Hornady TAP Match 75 BTHP. I also just ordered 100 rounds of Lithuanian 62gr FMJ headstamped GGG 09 Nato spec. and I got 60 rounds of Hornady LEO TAP 75 gr HP.

struck out big time today and only located 400 rounds of 38spl, not bad I guess since this is the first time I have seen it in 3+ months and grabbed a fed bulk pack of 22lr.
also got my 2 50cal ammo cans and my 2 30 cal cans. Realized I should have ordered more cans. |
|
Got my crate of 5.45 spamcans from Copes delivered for $278, and the crate was stamped:
Made in RUSSIA Ministry of the Interior/Republic of Iraq Dated 1976 in the powder and manufacture spaces in the Russian code. I wondered how long the USSR was stamping 'RUSSIA' on their export crates about as long as I wondered how long Iraq has been using English to print 'Ministry of The Interior/Republic of Iraq'. Some things are just a mystery, I suppose. |

Picked up 850rds of 9mm in the last couple of days so I am done buying that for a while. However, I did send 50rds of 9mm, 50 rds of .40, 25rds of 12ga, and 60rds of .303 British down range yesterday. There were some rogue, water-filled milk jugs that had to be dealt with.
The WM that I went to this morning had more pistol ammo out than I have seen in a long, long time at that particular location. |
