We'd cut them in half with a machine gun and give them a Band-Aid.

1) There is no such thing as "military surplus" soft point or hollow point ammo. It is all FMJ.

2) If you find some, let us know so it will be backordered by the time you order.

Cheap does not exist. Component prices are all waay high. If you find some cheap stuff, I'd look at it very closely before buying. It might as well be a commodity these days.

Oh, wait, it was your first post. Welcome to AR15.com, and there is no cheap ammo.

Welcome. If it exists, it will probably be listed ON THIS PAGE. That alone is worth the price of a membership.

AIM had Fiocchi boxed ammo very recently, and another vendor listed on the Ammo page has got Fiocchi Mil Surplus that chronos similar to Guat. I just picked up a 1000 round can of the latter.

I don't reload, but there are threads about both the boxed .223 and the 5.56 packed loose in the can. Just search "Fiocchi"

Thats why when I find a good deal I keep it under my hat . I am lucky to have an uncle that works at Olin. They get first crack at ammo that does not meet QC standards (whis is mostly all cosmetic). I got one hell of a deal on M885 a few weeks ago . I found a guy on craigslist of all places a few months ago that was selling 500 rounds of M193 for $80 locally, and I coulndt send him an e-mail fast enough.
