10,000 rounds is my base line [per caliber] for 'having enough'.
I only buy in cases of 1K unless I see 45ACP at Wal-Mart and I'll buy some there. |

The zombies are coming...
|
I try to at least pick up 100 rounds a week of tula ammo for the range.
It usually is .223 since the only 9mm ammo I could find is 28 dollar federal hydro, which I am not using at the range... |

One day I will get all my ammo here in this house into one pile and take a pic.

I could never hoard ammo. I actually shoot mine and only keep about 100 rounds for each gun I have.

Place holder for pic... I don't recall any Lake City 65 ever being produced, the first Lot from Lake City was in 1966 Here are some boxes I have of the "Reference" Ammo. This ammo was made before the actual lot to be used as the pedigree I also have some of the "Reference" ammo from Twin City that Lot# was 18000 it was also produced in 1966. The only 1965 headstamped I have ever came across was from Remington Arms (RA) and Federal Cartridge (FC) |

This is just a heads up but the m-22 ammo in picture my have been in one of the recalled lots if you didn't know. You can check on line or at Walmart just don't want anyone to get hurt.

ive been able to pick up about 1500 rounds watching the online stores, once its in stock its gone in about 5 to 7 min.
guess I am lucky to get what I have. oh and yea I found a box of 100 at walmart.

Due to NSA abilities to monitor the internet, I only have one box of 45acp. 2 boxes of 5.56 and a partial box of 22lr.

Did a fair amount of ammo whoring this weekend I bought
2k- 7.62x39 1500-.223 |
|
|
I just got my first bulk purchase of ammo in quite some time. I got a crate (2 spam cans) of 5.45x39 to feed my new upper. Figuring out that Commie steel band wasn't particularly challenging, and as far as I can tell, since I know how to use a P-38 can opener, I'll be fine opening the spam cans. No where near even "aspiring ammo hoarder," but I'm getting ready for nice weather...

i have 2 223 rds that i found at the range that are unfired, while I was shooting my only box of 9mm ammo.

a friend of mine invited me out to go shooting one day. while we were out there, i found one tulammo .223 and 2 .40 S&W. never having owned a gun before, i figured why the hell not, i already have some ammo, and built my own ar-15 with my tax return. aero lower mated to a dpms 16 inch complete upper, 4 windowed 30 rd pmags and one regular gen 2 moe windowless pmag, all loaded with pmc bronze, and an additional 215 rds of pmc bronze on the shelf. not much compared to what ive seen here, but off to a...start...i guess. tho i would only begin to feel comfortable after having 10-15 mags fully loaded and atleast 1k sitting on the shelf, and even then thats where i would like my bare minimum to be.
