I'm sitting at about 20,000 mostly 5.56/223 and 7.62 39
Dads friend has 100,000 of .308. 40,000 of 5.56. 5000 of .50 for his Barrett. He Got a settlement 30 years ago and bought it all then. I still remember the 18 wheeler backing up the driveway |

Just a comment: I have a collection of odd/interesting/rare rounds that is separate from the small amount of ammunition I have on hand. Some of my collection is empty cases, other parts of the collection are live rounds - some in calibers I do not own a weapon for. I have a (GASP!!!) .50 BMG round, for example. It's useful to illustrate various things, like "why do you call that ammo can a '.50 cal can?'" "Simple. Look at this..." (I also have a late WWII/Korea .50 cal can that is actually embossed with both ".50" and an image of the round...)
I do not have a boat, and haven't been near a lake in a long time, so I haven't had one of those tragic accidents. As a very small scale collector of this sort of thing, I don't worry about having to transport my collection across any body of water. "Nothing to see here. Thanks for being interested in the safety of my community..."

300WM----------1, 200---------1,100 factory hornady 200 ELD plus 100 assorted
