Thanks for the offer to run it through QL for me.
My current load for a G21 w/ 45 Osprey and M10/45 with Lage slow fire upper and the old 2 stage SWD/Sionics can:
Berry's plated 230gr FMJ
4.8gr Bullseye
OAL: 1.270"
CCI LP primer
slight Lee FCD crimp
I ran them shorter in the past, but would get hang-ups in the M10/45 so I bumped them out further and it took care of the feeding issues in the open bolt subgun.
These are definitely subsonic in both firearms, but have actually never put any over the chrono, for whatever reason.
ETA: double checked my load book and corrcted the charge weight and OAL for my BE handloads.

Ok I ran your load thru QL, my QL does not have the berry bullet in it so I used a rainier plated (not 100% same but close enough for this.) PLEASE NOTE that QL is NOT 100% perfect and only gets you in the ball park....... Please use CAUTION and if ANYONE uses this data you do @ your own RISK.....
Here is what QL came up with for your 4.8gr load @ 1.27" COL;
5" Barrel
8" Barrel
I think your load would run but may be dirty, in that there could be unburned powder in the barrel and gas system/carrier. In the past with my load development I like to see % powder burned as close to 100% as possible by the end of the barrel. For your load in the 5" it burns 93.5% and in the 8" barrel it is 96.75. Also your load may need a no weight buffer and maybe a lite spring to run 100% (QL suggests it is less then 15,000 psi) but that would have to be tested to verify. If you take this load up to 20,000 psi it changes and would more then likely run 100% with stock buffer and spring.
5" Barrel 20,000 psi;
8" barrel 20,000 psi;
The 20,000 psi loads are almost to max psi for the 45 ACP, but should be fine in the AR and pistols if they have no issues handling +P ammo. one thing to remember is that a 45DI AR-15 needs all the gas it can get to run correctly, all of this will depend on who builds the upper, their gas port placement and port diameter. Also note that your load may run without the need to change spring and buffer when you run suppressed that would also need to be tested and verified. If you just want to have one 45 ACP load to run in everything you can let the company know that builds the upper what that your will be and they should be able to tailor the gas system to it but that in my opinion could limit you in ammo choices down the road. With both of my DI 45 uppers from RMW Xtreme I have no problems running tul ammo all the way up to standard 45 Super loads with a standard buffer and spring and if I want to run the hottest 45 Super loads I throw in an H or H1 buffer and all is well. (although since I have a 45 Win Mag upper I don't run too many Supers anymore.)
One last thing, please take this information as a guideline and when you get your upper work up your loads carefully/safely and when you find your load and everything runs 100% Go have fun with it, you will find out that it is a great upper/caliber in the AR and a blast to shoot.
