Well....this is a decision you have to make.

It's your gun.

I'm thinking of getting a flash can personally, I was also considering the Phase 5 Littleboy muzzle brake.

Suppressor.

Either nothing or something to mount a suppressor (Tri-lug).
Don't need a flash hider on a 9mm as there is no flash to hide (ie. don't have flash hiders on 9mm handguns).
If you just want something to look cool/different or whatever, then pick whatever you like the look of.

Its a 9mm, there is gas exiting...but your not going to benefit from a good compensator.  Put what ever you want on it to look good.  I have a simple birdcage on mine with an Indian Creek blast deflector.  The Indian creek deflector is the least expensive, it looks good and it works with what ever flash suppressor that you have.  Good luck and post a picture when your done

I have a Kaw Valley Linear Comp in 1/2 x 28.

Worst case I can get something else and put it on a 5.56 AR Pistol.

I like it though, it added just enough length on my build to ease my mind. (5.5" barrel with 5.5" handguard)

Also its in between the KAK Can Micro and KAK Can Slim length.

Melonited too!

Thread protector - all I ever use on Rimfire and Pistol Calibers

MHO, YMMV, etc.

I have the Kaw Valley XL linear comp.  Finally got to shoot it today and it was nice and quiet.  There was a very noticeable up/right muzzle rise with each shot that I wasn't expecting but I don't see how the linear comp could have anything to do with that.

Looks good, what's your barrel length and rail length?  8" barrel 10" rail?

This is the only thing left I need to buy for my 9mm build. Haven't found anything I like with a 1/2x28 thread

8" barrel 9" Aero handguard.  It would look a lot better with a 10" handguard.  I'm not too happy with how much the XL comp sticks out

I used the Lone Wolf 9mm flash suppressor on my 9mm AR

It's real small and I think it looks better than a thread protector.

Carlson Mini Comp.

Didn't want to use a plain ol' thread protector, and a 9mm suppressor just isn't in the cards for me at the moment. So I found the smallest muzzle brake I could find that was still 1/2x28 and big enough for 9mm. Landed on the Carlson.

This, unless you're going with a short (under 6") barrel, there's not any flash or blast of note to manage. my 9mm pistol is a 4" barrel on a 6" rail with a flash can, in this case the can is just there to keep residue off the rails...

I think I want to put this on mine. It's threaded 1/2x28

Hk mp5 3 lug adapter

But before I buy, there's no reason this shouldn't work fine right?

I am working on finishing a 5.5" PSA 9mm Glock build, still need a hand guard and muzzle device.  I want to swap between my muzzle device and supressor like you do, I have an AAC EVO9.  What muzzle device are you using that allows you to remove by hand for the swap?

A1 bird cage, doesn't need to be timed which is important 'cause it's only handtight. I shoot almost exclusively suppressed so the A1 is my thread protector.

Thread protector.  There's a company called Xtreme Precision that sells them for $7.99 shipped on Amazon and they're top notch.

No need to add the extra cost/length/weight of a flash hider or muzzle brake on a 9mm, unless you just like the look.

my 10.5" 9mm came with a KAK flash can... relatively quiet with just ear plugs from behind the gun

Be the first to buy it, do some testing with it on youtube, and then start your own thread about it.

I went with this same thread protector, and i've been very happy with it.

It was tough to screw on the muzzle, probably a combination of the finish on the threads of both the barrel and thread protector.  I had to thread it on a little, back it out, and then thread it on a little more a few times.  After doing that, it screws on and off easily now.

KAK Flash Can.  Cheap and effective.  I wish I could find something about an inch longer though, say 4.5" long, thats not a fake suppressor.

Hmm, I wonder if that could be opened up and re-threaded to 1/2-36?

I had a 1/2x28 threaded lightweight, nitride barrel and was struggling to find something that would work. I finally picked up a flash hider from rousch sports. Nice looking piece and they had several options. Later on I found more options from other vendors like spikes and tornado tech.
