I think I'm going to contact QC10, but wanted some opinions here as well.

Original Config
QC10 9mm Glock lower
Lone Wolf Glock Cut bolt
3.5" barrel
AAC ECO-9 suppressor
H2 Buffer and quarters
Carbine Spring

This config, shooting 147 gr freedom reloads and 135 gr critical defense - functioned great with glock mags, except on one of the last mags of critical defense, broke the bolt catch.
Emailed QC10 for a new bolt catch spring, and they told me I should be running somewhere around an 8 oz buffer. So I bought an 8 oz 9mm buffer from KAK and ran that, but now I am getting FTE issues using my latest batch of Freedom Munitions ammo (ran some older FM ammo fine on a previous range trip). Thinking maybe this batch of ammo has a little less umph, but that is purely speculative. I want my rifle to run everything, even weaker loads. Still locks bolt back though.

What should I try?:
try a wolf extra power spring with KAK 8oz buffer (if my thought process is right, this would be the opposite way to go, but I do have one)
chop a little off of my current carbine spring
run the H2 Buffer again with the wolf spring and more quarters (would probably work somewhere in middle of original H2/carbine and 8.0oz buffer/carbine. Also have a seekins bolt catch that is supposedly stronger than normal bolt catches)
or ??

Would rather have a rifle that beats itself up a little and functions 100% over one that has less recoil but may not eject rounds properly.

I am also going to check out where the ejector sits tonight - I have read about people bending theirs inwards until it is almost touching the bolt, I don't know where mine is currently sitting. I know it floats, but I think it is supposed to.

I trust QC's wisdom when given, my dealings with them as far as customer service has been top notch. Im running a Rock River Arms 9mm buffer,  Sprinco red spring and NFA rubber spacer........if that helps

The ejector does wiggle and is touted as being "self centering" ......

So looking at everything in detail, it looks like the ejector sits in the area furthest away from center that is possible by the cut in the bolt. the extractor shows wear in just a tiny corner on it, which makes me think that the ejector needs some correction. I think it could be bent inwards, but bending upwards may be extremely difficult without damaging something.

I wouldn't want to disagree with QC10, but if you are using lite loaded ammo, the heavier buffer might not be the best choice... seems like you are looking at two problems... first is that there is too much momentum before the bolt catch halts the forward motion of the bolt causing the bolt stop to break... adding more mass to the buffer seems like it would make this problem worse... my 130 power factor pistol loads work fine with my 5.2oz rifle buffer and standard rifle spring...when you get your bolt/buffer/spring combo worked out to being reliable with your loading of choice, then use the quarters and NFA bumper to adjust the distance the bolt travels...3/16" seems like a good distance behind the bolt catch... I don't use a LRBHO, so run mine as close as possible to just lock open to show clear YMMV

I run an extended length adjustable buffer on all 9mm......it can be made to weigh between 6 and 7.5 ounces by adding or removing weight. Standard carbine spring is all that is necessary....heavy springs and quarters incres the spring rate.....and increase the forward velocity of the bolt on the return to battery. That is what breaks bolt catches.

Load a round....sloooooooowly pull the charging handle back until it just starts to hit the ejector......look where it is going...if it is headed for the lower edge of the ejection port.....square the nose of the ejector. Most 9mm ejectors have a slant on the nose where it hits the case.....this does cause problems on a regular basis. If the Ejector isn't fixed as close to the bolt as possible shim it or glue it....but make it rigid.....it will help.

This. Rudy helped me with my 9mm when I was having troubles. I lightened the buffer to 8.5oz, squared the ejector and it runs like a champ now. I DO have a wolf XP spring and haven't had any issues.

What Rudy said.

I will add....I would ditch the quarters and get a NFA buffer bumper just to help soften the recoil some.
And if  you are still having problems after doing what Rudy suggested.  maybe try lighter buffer ( 5 oz or 6 oz) to help cycle the  FM loads.

Hey guys, so I ended up bending my ejector per QC10s advice, to where is it as close to the cutout in the bolt as possible. 250-300 flawless rounds yesterday.

However, my dad is still having trouble with his build, and I don't think it is buffer or spring related. The brass is not always getting tossed out, it looks like he is not getting enough contact from the ejector, or possibly even more likely is that the extractor is not catching a good lip. Here is a video:

What do y'all think? I have an extra 9mm bolt that I could try from Spinta for him as well, kind of an expensive fix though (brand new).
