Anyone who has one, what do you use for the overall length for the Form 1 submission???  Assuming standard M4 type 6-postion stock.

And, I assume the end of the barrel is the important part, not the rail if it sticks out past the barrel (?)

For the 5" TROS 3 lug.

I have no data for you, but I can confirm you won't be measuring your 15" handguard as part of the length of your firearm when you have a 5" TROS barrel.

From guntrustlawyer.com:

4f  should contain the overall length of the firearm. (For a Suppressor use the overall length of the Suppressor)  (If there is a folding stock or collapsible stock, the measurement should be made with the stock fully extended)

That just muddies the water!!  OK, length to barrel, and I'll build it with no handguards, and then add them later after the initial "build" (?)  Since I don't know what had guards I would be getting anyway.

Also, for folks who have TROS barrels, how are they for accuracy?  Are they good barrels?

Im pretty sure the suppressor part is if you are building a suppressor on a Form 1.

As far as my approved Form 1 OAL with this TROS barrel once it arrives is: 21.5 OAL with 5" barrel. BUT I am using a LWRC UCIW...So add a few inches for a full size stock/tube.

Thanks, I wasn't thinking of the suppressor part in (), more the OAL.  But after I replied I realized that it must be the end of the barrel since things like removable muzzle devices don't count.

Np. Hopefully these barrels show up soon

I asked TROS about length:

"I have barrels in process now.  Should go to black oxide early next week, then laser engraving and then start shipping the following week.  The OAL will usually be determined by the handguard as most people use a standard CAR length handguard that covers the barrel."

Still don't know what to put on my Form 1

Once they ship, if he has any in stock I'll get one.

Did he just send you that? I'm getting really sick of this...I got the same email before. According to it, they should be shipping this week. Now he's saying two more weeks? Come on!!

Same here brother. Same here. Rudy said he would match a 3 lug to a threaded barrel...I would have went that route...

It's thread that made me buy the Griffin 3 lug mount and Rocksett it on my 9mm upper instead of ordering one from TROS.

Glad I did, it works like a charm.

I have got 1 e-mail response from him since June.  The rest of the info I have has come from this thread.  I am going to start calling and e-mailing until I get a response.  I will let you all know if/when I hear anything.

Just sent $$ to buy an adapter from Mark a week ago.  Now I wonder how long this adapter would be finished.  Didn't ask him how long it takes.
If I have read this thread ahead of time, I'd reconsidered this route.

Too bad he isn't up front with everyone and say he only does a single run each year because that's what he has done for the last 2-3 years. some people wait 6 mos and some wait 2 weeks.  all depends on when you order...
