I am looking at buying a 9mm carbine but was curious how it works when suppressed. Being blow back you can't adjust gas, so how do you adjust? Or is it needed with the JP Scs.

Thanks

Sean

I have a NFA Colt 9MM SMG, set up with the Colt R0635 Buffer and Spring. I use a AAC Tyrant 9S, and under full auto or semi, it works perfect with no failure issues.

It is blow back operation so no gas in the face. They suppress awesome and function perfectly in my experience.

I originally built a 40S&W carbine with suppressor, later I built a 9MM u ppr for it too. Now the 9MM stays on it 95% of the time, it's pretty accurate at 50 yds with a scope and just plain fun with a red dot and falling plates at 25 yds.

Have 2 9mm's 1 a 10.5 the other 2 16". No problem running suppressed. teh 16" has 8oz buffers. the 10.5 a 6oz also running a rifle length recoil spring. That unit is a soft shooter. .

A question for you.  What type, and how long, is the buffer tube on your SMG?

It's a short tube, only 3 position. Just like you would see on the RO635 model. It measures about 7.5" overall.
