RRA cuts the gas tube holes in these correct?

Perhaps a dumb question for "pistol caliber" section but has anyone seen a 5.56 lightweight build done using a flat-top 9mm upper to avoid having the deflector and FA?

They are not cut for a gas tube, however you can send it to ADCO.

ADCO

I believe what your looking for is a Slab side or "slick side" upper

I'm looking for a more standard upper like Dmac posted -  retro-ish but flat-top.

This is a model 1 9mm upper.  It will need the hole for a gas tube drilled.

They are currently out of stock:  http://www.model1sales.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=415

Well, it was worth asking - thanks everyone.

Back to the retro forum!

I found a colt upper like above in the EE, I was originally going to build it into a 556 after an adco gas hole drill.

The 9mm bug bit before I could do it though.
