Using a boonie packer 15-22 adapter and wondering if I should get the regular BDM drum or the BDM 15-22 drum.

The BDMs will not function with the Better Mag adapter.

You need the SW MP 15-22 25 round mags...They are really nice mags.  Though we have two BDM AR22 drums and love those. But no last shot hold open with those and the adapter.

Also you can get a better price on the BDM drums at JoeBobs. I think they are 49.00 right now and if you buy two you get free shipping yet I think..

EDIT:  I figured it out. The better mag adapter is made by Boonie. Never knew that and I have one

They SW 5-22 drums with the SW tower are more expensive than the AR22 ones at 69.00 a pop. But the last shot hold open probably will not work for those either. But you could leave the adapter in place maybe. And then just use SW 15-22 25 rounders without having to remove the adpater like I have to when I use the BDM AR22 drums.

Hope you are not more confused than before. I do that to people sometimes

Yeah really dont want to have to take the adapter out each time I want to use the drum. The 15-22 25 rounders work perfect with the adapter, I just thought it would be fun to have a 50 round drum too.

As I said, if you get the more expensive drums with the 15-22 tower you may not have to remove the adapter then. Still no last shot hold open with the drums, but would possibly eliminate removing the adapter to switch to the drums. Which is a pain.

I would like to know for sure myself if the 15-22 drums towers will insert and atleast operate with the better mag adapter. If they would reliably, operate even without last shot hold open, I would buy two 15-22 drums next time.

The people that make the Better Mag Adapter should be getting royalties from the SW 15-22 mag sales.

The BDM drums work fine with either the 15-22 adapter or with the regular ciener/cmmg/spikes/etc 22 tower.  They just don't activate the bolt hold-open if used with the 15-22 adapter.  If you want to leave the 15-22 adapter in when you run the BD drums, order the drums with the 15-22 feed tower.  If you have BD drums with the ciener style towers, you can just order the 15-22 towers and refit your existing BD drums mag.

The cat's ass is the E&L/AM-180 drums with the bazooka brothers drum adapter.... 165/175/275 >> 50.
