I thought I'd chronicle my build here for hose who are interested. I use the term "build" loosely because I'm obviously just assembling the parts, whereas the real craftsmen actually built the parts that are listed below.
Parts obtained to date: 1) QuarterCircle10 GSF lower http://www.qcircle10.com https://www.facebook.com/Quartercircle10 2) SilencerCo Octane 45HD http://www.silencerco.com/products/octane/ 3) Macon Armory .40s&w barrel - 3.75" http://www.maconarmory.com 4) Macon Armory .40s&w ramped bolt http://www.maconarmory.com 5) Heavy Buffers 45ACP buffer and Wolf XP buffer spring http://www.heavybuffers.com/ar15carbine.html 6) 22 round Glock mags 7) MEGA "Slick Side" billet upper http://megaarms.com/ar-15/upper-receivers/billet-uppers/sbu-billet-upper-wo-ch-slot/ 8) MEGA Charging handle http://megaarms.com/ar-15/accessories-2/charging-handles/mega-grip-charging-handle/ 9) Samson HK Front Sight and A2 Rear Sight http://www.samson-mfg.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SM&Product_Code=FXF-FXR-PKG&Category_Code=FIXED 10) LWRC Compact Stock https://www.lwrci.com/p-336-lwrci-compact-stock.aspx 11) Seekins 10" BAR forend. http://www.seekinsprecision.com/bar-hand-guards.html 12) Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) Two Stage Trigger http://geissele.com/super-semi-automatic-ssar-trigger.html 13) DSG AR15/M15 Enhanced Bolt Catch https://dsgarms.com/skpsp-bc 14) Noveske STS Short Throw Safety - Ambi http://www.shopnoveske.com/products/short-throw-safety 15) MAGPUL MOE RVG (Rail Vertical Grip) http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG412/rails 16) MAGPUL MOE-K Pistol Grip for AR15/M4 http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG438/grips Why .40s&w? I'm not planted on either side of the caliber debate. But the 9mm I shoot is all supersonic, and the .40s&w I shoot is subsonic in barrels 4" or less. So here we are. Ideas, thoughts, criticisms welcome. I fully expect his process to take a few months while I save up money for parts. If you haven't had a chance to talk or do business with Rudy from Macon Armory, he's a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. Same goes for the people at QC10. To be continued... |

This is exactly what I want to do. Will be watching your build closely

I have pretty much the same setup: DDLES lower, DDLES 4.5 in barrel, CMMG bolt opened up to 40 and narrowed for Glock mags by ADCO, 45 buffer & Wolf xtra power springs and an Octane 45.
Runs great, lots of fun. I also made a 9MM upper for it and it's great too. Enjoy. |

Tag for updates. I want to do a .40 QC10 SBR too. Still undecided on barrel length; leaning toward 7.5" but might change based on what handguard / rail I want to use. Maybe some new stuff will come out at SHOT.

I'll be watching this thread...just ordered a QC10 GSF lower with similar intentions...

Watching!!! .40 build is exactly why I purchased 2 Glock lowerrs from DDLES. They are both SBR'd and ready to go.

Awesome
Right now it looks like I will be using a Mega slick-side upper: http://megaarms.com/ar-15/upper-receivers/billet-uppers/sbu-billet-upper-wo-ch-slot/ And a Seekins BAR 12" Rail. http://www.seekinsprecision.com/bar-hand-guards.html And a LWRCI Compact Stock. https://www.lwrci.com/p-336-lwrci-compact-stock.aspx |

12" rail seems mighty long for a 3.75" barrel and can.
The rail would be little longer than it and overhang? |

I'm going to need a good measurement before I buy the rails. I want to have the can almost fully concealed and I calculated 12.5" with barrel and suppressor. But 10" or maybe 11" might be a better choice. |

Not sure... 11 might be better? |

Depending on how much this ends up costing I may just follow your steps instead of waiting on a MPX in .40.

View Quote That's what I was waiting for, but i think we still have a while before we see the MPX in circulation. Especially the .40 barrels. So I ditched the MPX idea for now and went this route. Minus the Octane and stamps, I'm estimating $1100 for a total cost. Adding to the list, I just picked up: Mega Billet "slick side" upper Mega charging handle. |

Saw this on QC10's facebook, if you have any problems with your build it looks like they have their .40 bolt and barrel working and they said they are going into production
full auto 40 s&w |

I'm glad QC10 was to get shit done right and do a good job with these lowers and accessories. If I didn't already have a DDLES, I'd buy from them. |

I'm planning a similar build and I'm curious about brass deflection since you went with a slick side upper that doesn't (appear to) allow for ejection port door/pistol caliber deflector?

Curious about cerakoting the Colt QC10 lower in the future, maybe even by myself.
For those who have done it, did you have to remove the ejector? Any sort of unusual preparation for the Glock lowers as well? |

Any updates OP? I'm waiting for the NSR 7 to get in stock. I'm still back and forth on a Blowback or a DI.

Except for the upper and charging handle which seem to be MIA in the mail somewhere... The engraver we use in on vacation until 1/20 so I may send it out. I'll try and get some pics of the barrel/rail/suppressor combo for length today or tomorrow. |

goloud, I'm curiosity about the ammo that you use that stays subsonic in the 3.75" barrel. I'm guessing 180's? factory or reloads? Good looking build. My small and large frame lowers came in today. Efile form 1's this weekend. Thanks
