Would using a Geissele SSA-E trigger on a TACCOM bolt cause any malfunctions? I've read, "The hammer is lighter than a standard AR15 hammer. The lightened hammer favorably decreases locktime over a standard hammer from 8.5 to 5.1 ms and increases accuracy of the weapon." Wasn't sure if the lightened hammer spring would cause any issues.

I use an S3G on my dedicated .22 with a CMMG bolt and have had no problems in the 150 or so rounds I've fired with that FCG installed.

My SSA-E will not reset. Nor will my ACT with JP yellow springs. Regular ACT will.

Interesting to say the least.

I was thinking about trying the JP yellow trigger spring on my SSA-E but you may have caused me to cancel that idea.

I've ran my SD3G in my 15-22 a couple of times, it's pretty fun.

I run my SSA with my ST-22 upper all the time.

No worries.

I've asked about an SSF and don't get any replies in the M-16 section. Anybody here tried that one?

Ran a SSA-E and now a SD-E with my CMMG stainless bolt with full TACCOM reliability kit...runs like a top.  Some occasional FTFs with bulk but 100% with quality ammo.

Good to hear. Looks like I'll go with the SSA-E.

SD-E here on a CMMG stainless bolt. About 1k down the pipe and zero issues. Great setup.

Another happy user here. SD3G with a taccom upper. I've never tried the lighter spring, but mine has worked 100%

I have run both an SD-E and a SD3G with my CMMG EVO 22 bolt in my taccom upper and it runs absolutely perfect.

In fact, with the way Geissle designs thier triggers using full weight springs and putting all the magic in the polished and angled contact sear faces, they run more reliably than a JP setup or Timney with super light springs. There seems to be a limit to how light you can go for 22lr vs centerfire and the limit is about 4lb which rules out the 3lb Timney,JP yellows and such as those will all give you some degree of chronic light strikes.

There are things you can do for light springs to help with more positive ignition such as re-pointing the tips of blunt firing pins or using an aftermarket like the Taccom, but it may still not be 100%.  Only using full weight springs will ensure you can run any ammo with 100% ignition.

I've been running an SSA in a S&W 15-22 with exactly zero issues; it makes it a lot more pleasant to shoot.
I've a bunch of rounds thru' it, and it simply hasn't been troublesome.

I have a SSA-E with yellow JP springs with a dedicated TACCOM bolt. 100% reliable.
