Hello.......I have had a number of .22 conversions, etc......

I built a light weight bump-o-matic with a slide fire stock that I had running perfect, even with cheap ammo...it was a buzz saw. So, ofcourse I sold it to a buddy

Built a new one with a Bumpski stock (worth every penny, by the way) with the same JARD 1.5# single stage adjustable trigger. SS CMMG kit, black dog mags, etc.......all proven items.

I can dump a whole mag in one string with no issues. When I try do 3-5 round bursts I get a failure about 1-2 per mag. It is similar to the light strike issues, but there is NO mark at all on the rim of the chambered round.

Do I have the disconnect set to reset to light and may the hammer be dropping way before the bolt is closed so the firing pin doesn't hit it al all?

I do have a home turned nylon part that holds extra pressure on the rear of the bolt, and it does it with and without it. It isn't often, but I had the other one PERFECT and won't rest until this one is the same.

Thoughts?
O.K....I sold all my HKs, but I have to keep my Identity!

It's possible for the bcg to be moving slightly.
I have been recommending TACCOM3G's pressure plug for light strike and reliability issues.
It holds the BCG firmly in place and it's inexpensive.

No, it is a different barrel and different conversion. The part that confusses me the most is that I can do full mag dumps with no issue, the issue only seems to come up when trying to limit it to short bursts.

If the hammer is following the bolt down then it might be the disconnector, I had that problem on AKT 98. It seems the slidefire uses a lot of rythem so this makes it seem like the disconnector might be to weak to catch the hammer. Only other thing to check is make sure bolt is closing completely after bump fire. This sounds very similar to issue a buddy had with 15-22 and slidefire. He clipped a couple coils off the firing pin spring plus started using Froglube. He is using Timney trigger and has his working at close to 100%. Froglube seemed to help his 15-22 or it was the extra rounds down range the rife wore in.

Ammo seems to make a big difference on his. He has best luck with CCI Tactical, Armscor 36 grain HP and Blazers.

I have it in working order now.

It seems that I had the reset/take up and over travel set a bit to tight (short).......I actually extended the reset distance and the take up and it works fine now.

Go figure..........

Thanks!
