Which "Colt mags" are you using that fit tightly? C-Products made mags for Colt for a while, but the majority of them are made by Metalform. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm waiting for my Colt style lower from DDLES. It was a tough time deciding between that or the Glock mag lower.

I had a my Bolt milled today and test fired the gun right after, 30 rnds shot perfectly, i couldn't ask for a better test today, Monday night I will put about 200 rnds or more down range and I am sure I will have the same results. I love this DDLE Glock lower and the set up I did so far..

Most Metalform mags have metal followers. All C-products mags have either black or orange plastic followers, I think. The reason I'm curious is that C-prod are known to have shipped out of spec mags. Metalform is considered to make the best 9mm AR mags. If your mags are in fact C-prod, the lower might not be your problem. Both manufacturers make 20 round mags.

why would you want DO over blow back? the first thing I noticed tonight after 2 mags dumps is that my handguard wasn't the slightest bit warm..and the bolt was still pretty clean.. what did I miss in regards to the DI set up for pistol calibers?

My DDLES Colt lower drops my magazines free just fine. Possibly a batch issue with your lower or something different from the magazines your using? I'm using assortment of old Colt magazines.

Man.. I am tempted to switch to the Glock version even though my Colt works perfects. Only reason I would consider changing is the fact that if I drop my fully loaded Colt magazine, I would be doing a 32 rd pickup. Don't think the Glock mag I would have a issue with that. Not fun to pick up rounds on dropping a partial mag on the deck in a tactical shooting competition.. (dropping magazine mostly empty due to reloading on moving to next target)

Do all Colt pattern mags do that, or is it just yours?

What do you have to do to your bolt to work with th glock lower? Can you just buy a lower and bolt together and run right out of the box?
My drill sergeant had done three tours as combat arms, had a scar down the length of his face, and was no-shit bi-polar. That's how they are supposed to be.

Bolt has to be clearanced to work with the mags since they're single feed and the Colt style mags are dual feed.

We'll have to call it early quantum state phenomenon. Only way to fit 5000 species of mammal on the same boat.

Does that mean I could machine a 9MM bolt to accept S&W 5906 single feed magazines as well? They are single feed.
Thank You

Yes, if it works with a Glock mag it should work with a S&W mag. Problem is going to be getting a mag block to work with the S&W mags.
