It was totally worth every penny! Plus now they have a 9mm buffer available.

Someone said to take your pics in a bathtub so it looks professional

Instead now you have a picture of a gun and a dirty bathtub

Looks like a vltor mur upper and a quarter circle 10 colt lower.

Almost done. ordered my lower parts kit, and didnt notice it was missing the trigger group, but thats now on the way. I still need a little rig to h old my mags, but so far im loving t he balance of it. It ended up being a little chunky, but its all over the middle of the mag well area, and feels nice.
Other then the trigger, i need a light for it, at minimum a tlr3 might work, and at some point i would like to try out a visible laser off sight shots. Might be fun.

SBR approved. Threw a dummy suppressor on for now. Now I need to pick a vertical grip and I'm pretty much done with this.

I didnt think those PDW style stocks worked with the 9mm blowback bolt, how did you get it  to work?

The MVB ARC stock allows you to use any standard BCG with their system. Originally you had to punch out the carrier weight in the 9mm bolts and insert the MVB buffer and just run it with a spacer and without any additional weight (which worked great, might I add). But recently MVB put out a 9mm buffer that allows you to keep the carrier weight in place and does not require a spacer.

So as of this post, the MVB ARC is the only PDW stock I know of that works with a 9mm rig out of the box.

I can't stop posting pictures of this thing #sorrynotsorry

MVB's new 9mm buffer is exactly what this thing needed. I thought it ran fine with the H3 buffer, but the added carrier weight really smooths thing out. Recoil impulse is almost non-existent, and it cycles like it's made out of butter. I'd trust my life on this gun now.

Man, that looks great!  Glad the new buffer makes it even better.

I have several questions.
How heavy is that total stock including spring(s) and buffer?
I'm assuming that the 9mm buffer is more conventional than there 5.56/.223 setup.  Is it just just one spring, or is it still a compound 2 spring set up?  Using the traditional buffer retainer?

I see conflicting info.  Their web site says 23 ounces (heavy) but other reviews say 40 ounces (whoa!!).  Appreciate you posting these pics.

I'll try to find a scale so I can get you an accurate weight, but I will say it is certainly pretty hefty.

As for the buffer, it's pretty curious. It still uses the two spring setup, but the buffer itself is pretty much a 100% conventional buffer albeit shorter. With this setup, the push-button retainer is pretty much unnecessary, as that traditional retainer would function as normal. This also makes me think that their entire design for the BCG-buffer and the push-button retainer are kind of pointless, since they obviously found a way to use this short buffer tube with a more traditional buffer design.

Thanks for the insights.  Interesting.  Seems like they could have gone to a single spring and use the traditional retainer.  Maybe take some cost out.  Anyway, it still looks really good and the fact that you can use the 9mm BCG without modifications is a real plus over all the other PDW stocks.  You built a real looker there!

Very nice!! Mine was identical except for black instead of tan. Btw the Midwest Ind. Gen II SS Panels(and Handstop Panel) will fit your Super Slim rail, just have to use the UTG provided screws.

I put a TLR-1 on mine but am thinking about one of the Inforce models.

Do you by any chance have a pic of the other side . I read that QC10 machines their lowers to match the MUR upper , cant seem to find any pics of the other side .
Have a lower on the way just curious if the MUR upper is worth the extra money .
And I don't think anyone would have noticed it was a bathtub if you hadn't mentioned it !

Hahah thanks for the heads up man! I just went out found it on instagram and facebook, cool!

And DBs10, if you go back a couple pages I've got a pic of it on a hardwood floor on the opposite side. The lines do match up with the VLTOR MUR but not so much that it would look out of place with a standard AR upper.

Done except for paint, and a new light. I wanted to like the one on there for the price, but it didnt make it through my personal testing, so im just gona buy another wml and be done with it.
Chest rig is a chinese type 58, and can hold 2 32rders per pouch or 4 and a water bottle. It works great so far.

Upper: Aero Precision M4E1, JSE Barrel (cut to 5.5” and threaded 1/2x28), MAS Defense bolt (cut for Glock mags), Mega charging handle w/Badger extended latch, Del-Ton 5.5” flash hider (to clear the handguard while shooting unsuppressed), Troy fixed sights w/tritium sight post, Fortis 1” light mount, Pelican M6 LED

Lower:
QC10 Glock Small Frame lower, PSA LPK, Magpul CTR, Wolf X-spring ,Spikes ST-9X, Glock factory mags

So far I’ve put around 300 rounds through this gun, all 147 grain hand-loads (FMJ and JHP), with no malfunctions.  We’ve been using Power Pistol and it eats everything from 3.8 to 4.4 grains of powder like a champion.  The gun has no problem suppressed and unsuppressed, and is very quiet with the Trident 9 attached.  The only problem I have to report is every five magazines or so the bolt will hold open with 1 round left in the magazine (QC10 has problems with the hold-open feature).

Accuracy is incredible at 25 and 50 yards.  I have yet to shoot it at anything at 100, as the gun was intended for pistol distances.
I saved some money buying “bargain” parts for this rifle, with the intention of getting it running and tweaking it if needed.  I’m glad I did, because the fit/finish/function of all the parts was perfect, and in some cases I saved $100 per part.  Everything I bought was either on sale, had free shipping, or had a Military discount.  I have a friend/gun-smith that cut the bolt and cut/threaded my barrel for $100 total, so that helped keep costs down as well.

After it was all said and done I spent $1,430 on the gun, including the ATF stamp and all my shipping costs.

E-file Form1 approved Today!!  (5/28-9/22). Haven't  finished putting all the new parts on it, but wanted to get it posted here ASAP.  AFIK  it is the first 9L SBR, at least on the site.

Stag Arms 9L
Generic 6.5" barrel
Odin Works 5.5" handguard
Kies Blastmaster in 1/2x36
Knights Keymod mini fore grip
Midwest Industries hand stop panel

The rest of the MI panels, K2 grip and Samson fixed HK sights are going on it now.

The factory 16 inch configuration ran 350 rounds like a champ. Can't wait to shoot it in this layout.

I did not have my bolt at the time the image was taken so excuse the safery selector. I am also still waiting for the buffer to show up. If everything functions well I will go ahead with getting a Form 1 sent.

I am also considering painting it as the upper to lower finish match it way off.

New Frontier AR9 Lower
Slick Side Upper
CMMG Glock Cut Bolt
ADCO 4.5"  Barrel w/ M13.5x1 thread
ALG QMS
Samson Evo 10"

Nothing cosmetically fancy, but factory NIB. One of 48 transferable SMGs on the registry. I had the choice of getting serial # 5 or 9. I chose 9 as it went with 9mm quite well. Still pending form 4, but debating whether to make a suppressed upper for it, or leave it alone unfired.
