I was looking at FM-Products today @optimator.  Need to dig into whether they work with the LaRue MBT as I have spares in the parts box.

My SBR works. It's not a factory FM upper though. It's a Hahn adapter, FM Colt bolt and barrel. My MBT has been flawless in it. But I probably haven't put 1,000 rounds through it yet.

Gibbz side charger
Faxon 8.5” tapered 9mm
Spinta flat side bolt
SLR ION Lite 9.25” MLok
SLR Synergy Comp
MagPul flip ups
MagPul handstop kit

Spikes Glock lower receiver
CMMG LPK
KNS pins
SBA3 w/receiver extension
FM9 heavy buffer
Strike Industries flatwire carbine buffer spring
MagPul K2+ w/lube bottle insert

I used a NoMar(?) plastic universal upper clamp, baby worked like a champ and I picked it up on fleabay for 23$ delivered.

I also got to make a barrel clamp. Poplar. 5$ from hardware store. Worked like a champ too.

Edited: MBus was backwardsy, learn something everyday right.

Pretty sweet build though.  I'm digging that side charging upper and the whole damn thing.  I might have to steal that from you.

Thanks man. I’ll have to put a picture of the other side up when I can. The side charge is darn cool, Gibbz makes a sweet upper for sure.

I chose the latched charging handle.

I think it looks sort of “space blaster”ish. I’m digging it.

I am going to get a ballistic advantage 5.5” barrel, what length rail do I need to have enough room to thread on a suppressor? From some of the builds I have seen it looks like I need a 4” or maybe a 4.25” rail, I want it as flush as possible but still accessible.

Short trip to function test today. Got rained on. Heavy wind. I’ve wanted an AR9 for years and I had to get out to test it.

What a crap ton of fun to shoot! I need to make a full range trip to zero and see what it will really do but my first reaction is WoW what a lot of fun to shoot. I can see this in my bag every trip out shooting. It scratches the itch to shoot 556 at a much better price point, I like the way the 9mm is zippy and it feels so similar you get that nice satisfying !sproing! every shot too :)

I could have built one at a much lower total cost, for sure. I always buy what I want though, and this little blaster was money well spent. One trip out, I can see building another already for sure.

Thanks for the tips and pointers to anyone that provided them should you be reading this. Info gained in several places helped me out greatly. Pics are after the trip, 150 rounds no issues. Freshly wiped.

Thanks.  It’s actually bazooka green. Hard to tell with my crappy pic.
I’ll have to ask him what barrel and bolt.  He bought all the stuff. I just helped him put it together.  It all came from joebobs

PSA barrel/bolt and the receiver they came in. STNGR rail.
I dunno, at least 5-7K with 1 broken extractor along the way so far and a wore out disconnector. I keep a Kaw Valley bolt in my bag for match day.
Lower is all mil-spec stuff - ALG QMS.
Taccom buffer system w/o short stroke kit and red Springco.
DIY Space Blaster Rustoleum paint.
I've really liked the Burris FF3 on another gun so I got one for this recently. UTG mount that's actually really dang nice.

The single one is a CMMG 9mm Guard I picked up over the weekend. The all black one is a build on a Quarter Circle 10 lower/upper/bolt/barrel with an Aero handguard and a YHM 9mm buffer.

Had the combo out to the range today and both the Endomag 9mm and the BMA equipped 22LR ran like a clock.  Accurate as well, and a pleasure to shoot.

OLY Arms. 45 ACP upper (started out as a 16" carbine upper,  cut barrel to 4.5" and threaded. 578x28") Lower is a loaner from my 5.56 SBR and using my YHM M2 .45 pistol can to get measurements for the new can that I am going to build that will live on here full time.
