I think a handguard is a foregone conclusion. I would just use a cylindrical barrel nut, like a BAR/Aero style. Something clean.

This flash can will add 3.25”.

Edit - I may actually wait for the Spinta 4 inch rail to come back in stock. It's about half the price, and for a Stupidtown build that works. Flash Can is probably the way to go though.

They are wider then the typical mags and require larger opening in both the upper and lower. The Larue frip has nearly the same angle as the Magpul grios, but the feel of it is dark superior. It has a nice palm swell and fairly agressive texturing

Got mine 90% done thanks to this thread.

NFA upper/lower
FM 7" barrel
SLR Synergy
MK14 7"
ALG trigger
G receiver extension and SCH
(CMMG bcg on the way)

The SLR sticks out more than I wanted, but with no half sizes on barrels, you get what you get right? SLR says their Synergy is 1.25" OD and the MK14 has a 1.27" ID. The fit is tight, but not touching.

Here is a free float that is 1/3 the cost of Spinta. I have one, but not yet mounted, might need a pack of shims to get it timed just right.

One issue is with all 30 in it I can't get mag to lock in, but I always download 30 rounders to 29 any way.

I have started with a spikes 9mm lower, stripped.

Is it possible to build a folder sba3 on a side charging NFA upper? It’s still a pistol right? No SBR for a folder as long as it’s on a brace???

This will be my first 9 so I’m very inexperienced in building these. You guys posting all these hyper-badass 9s are really ramping up my envy level.
