I debated the carry handle/Fixed front, but decided I needed a railed top. Now that I have had it over a year I have started playing with fixed sights as they are almost as fast as a dot at short distance and they are bulletproof. I really like your slick side A1 with the HK Front Tower and the railed guard, looks nice and adds some function. Like the stock too, almost looks like the Minimalist. |

I used to have a Colt 6950 back in the day, it was great so I wanted to stick with a similar idea. I have a 223 and was also making a 300blk sbr at the same time, so wanted something easy and handier. Part of this is my hangup with slings, of course. I just don't like them. Brownells lists Colt's A1 9mm uppers (without the gastube hole), but never had them in stock, so I got a Fulton Armory one. Couldn't find the old 9mm rear sight for it though, so just had to stick with factory. Originally I had a clamp on front sight, then Brownells came out with this thing and it's much tighter than the other and slimmer, so went with that. Of course, my next build will probably be a 9mm pistol flat top with a shockwave. :) |

I bought a Spartan LRBHO Side Charger Upper for my build. Can anyone tell me which 8-9" M-Lok rails are compatible with this upper?

Maybe I don't know enough about that upper, but why on earth would any rail/hand guard not be compatible?

View Quote Some rails have parts that extend back and overlap hug the curves of an upper, and are contoured to match a standard upper. An example would be the two anti-rotation arms on Geissele rails. Some uppers have more meat to them up front and cannot work with a lot of rails that extend back further than the barrel nut. |

Fair enough. I guess I've been lucky to never run into the issue but I tend to use standard style uppers. Also, only built 4 or 5 so maybe I just haven't played around enough. Appreciate the non-abrasive response. I know a simple question like that can receive some rather toxic responses.
