If I ever move to a more friendly state it'll probably be my first stamp gun. |

I really do like how cerakoting the PDW tube extends the colored look though. I think I ran a shorter barrel too. You didn't have to gut your rail to let a can fit, did you? |

I think Google changed it on me... She runs like a dream. No issues suppressed or unsuppressed. Very comfy to shoot too. Just have to make sure people don't try and hang a finger or thumb in front of the barrel. Only thing I'd like to change/modify is the stock section. The solid billet adds a lot of back end non-reciprocating weight, so it would be nice to skeletonize it, or maybe replace it with polymer (But that would ruin the all metal feel) The really funny thing is how getting that back completely superseded the PS90 I just bought and dropped a packet for. Ran a box through the PS90 (First time firing), and just switched right back to the 9mm. Definitely the most fun weapon I've built to date. |

I can't answer for the suppressor, since my barrel is indeed a bit longer and the threads extend past the handguard. I do like how you Cerakoted the tube though and I think I'm gonna take mine off and take it to the shop to have it coated too. |

It's an ATI Scorpion pistol grip. They have a new version out as well called the Scorpion 2 (I think). I had this one from a rifle build that I swapped to another grip so used this one here. Not sure I need the cushion on the grip but I liked the look so used it. http://www.atigunstocks.com/ar-15-pistol-grip |

Yeah, the point was to do something different and have some fun with it. It's a range toy and not intended for a war zone. I need to get it out to the range and see how well she shoots. |

I have read mixed feedback on various PDW stocks on the 9mm ARs and some people having issues and others not one. I would love to build and shoot something like that...someday. Skeletonizing the stock would add a unique look to it for sure. |

View Quote You don't have to strip it, but the shop will usually charge you if you don't. They come apart like Legos, so I pulled it and two others apart with chatting with my parents on the phone one afternoon. Saved me $20/unit. I just brought in the pieces I wanted coated/engraved. I left the bolt catch roll pin started, and it came back uncoated and still started so I think they did me a favor and removed/reinstalled for free. The shop I had do the work is called Gun Envy, and they are located in Columbus, OH. They did great work!! Got the engraving done on the other two lowers in about an hour. Turnaround time for the Cerakoting and milling of the rail was about 1.5 months. |

Here's my 9MM setup, just recently converted from a pistol. I went the PSA route, so far very pleased. I ordered their 7.5 inch barreled upper with mlok rail, and then the pistol lower. I have about 500 rounds through it now, no complaints. My tax stamp came in last week so I fired her as intended at the range on Friday. I'd had the privilege of firing a real MP5 in Vegas a couple of years ago, and I've wanted a 9mm SBR "fix" since then. I'm happy to report after the range trip that other than the "happy" switch setting being unavailable, my craving is satisfied.
I put some MBUS sights and a Primary Arms gen 2 red dot on her, and it's crazy accurate. I shot away the bulls-eyes on my range visit, and after that just kept putting rounds through the holes. I went with an 8 ounce heavy buffer, and the small magpul SL-K stock. Recoil is near unnoticeable compared to the pistol and original buffer setup. PSA 9mm SBR Second photo |
