Hello, I purchased a buffer weight and the weight does not have a roll pin holding in the rubber end cap!! I'm worried it might come apart while shooting. Has anyone saw one like this, did they forget to add the roll pin?

Yeah, some don't have a cross pin.  Don't take those apart, and you should be fine.

My first thought is to add the appropriate roll pin and go shooting, providing there are holes in the tail end of the buffer body for the pin to be run through.  If I understood you correctly.  Weights themselves have no holes.

One of my spare buffers I got with kit doesn't use a roll pin. The bumper actually screws into the end of the tube.

I've used it and it worked fine, but I probably wouldn't use it as the "main, in the gun all the time and gets used a lot", buffer. Chance of it loosening under use and causing problems is greater
