For you guys that may have an A2 upper attached to a not stock lower, what lower have you been using?  I'm assisting on a project for a friend and he asked me what after market lower "mates" the best with the A2 upper.  I'm pretty sure they all would work fine being mil-spec and all but just wanted to know from people that have done this if one fits together better than another.

thanks in advance.

Go with a McKay Enterprises if he wants a reasonably price lower marked 'RM16A2' that doesn't have any logos on it.
They are top notch lowers for M16A2 rifle and carbine builds.

Range Tool Company also makes a nice lower without logos:

I like older Bushmaters and new Aero Precision lowers.
I'll probably get a McKay or Range Tool in the near future for my next build.

All "mil spec" lowers use an A2 forging.

A cheap Anderson would match correctly.

yeah that was my thinking as well but was wondering if there was a best fit scenario.   Just trying to tap into the expertise here.

I have a bunch of Range Tool lowers and they're nice for A2 builds.
