I picked up this Armalite A2 Service Rifle over the weekend - rifle is in great shape and the 5-6# 2-stage trigger has a crisp break, which is 90% of the battle.  I like the OD furniture.  It seemed a pretty good deal to me ($550, including soft case and 6 mags), but the rifle is a little confusing - it has no bayonet lug and has some kind of muzzle break on it.  What do you think?

I love ArmaLite rifles. Looks great! As far as the lack of bayonet lug and the brake, it looks to be a post-ban rifle. The sight base looks to be the "clamp on" type with set screws.

Correct.  The set-screw front sight base is a feature of the Armalite Service Rifle line.

Looks like a MA compliant rifle. We still suffer the AWB here. No bayonet lugs, flash hiders or removable muzzle devices allowed here unless on a pre-ban lower.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.  That seems like a really good deal.  And a good trigger at that price point.  How's she shoot?
