Hey guys, I  could use some hi-tech computer savvy help here. I'm currently building a Colt Model 723 Carbine as accurately as I can. Currently I have just about everything until I stumbled up this Official advertisement from Colt Firearms Division. Problem is I can't blow it up enough to see the complete pictures without distorting them. I'm concerned if the forward assist is round or tear drop. And does it have the brass deflector or not. The A2 pistol grip, tapered Delta ring I can see. If someone here could blow this up I'd greatly appreciate it. It's on pg. 69 about half way down. Thx!

I pulled this image below from an archived post.  It's pretty grainy, but you can see the Brunton bump and small-round forward assist.

Mondo groovy Pro2ndAm! Thank you. Well, obviously I don't have a Model 723 upper since mine is: C H marked, A1 sights, no brass deflector, Round FA, and A2 port ejection port door. Ha! Guess I'll have to change plans to a IDF special instead. Either my advertised Model 723 upper was caught in between transitioning to round FA and brass deflector. No documentation. No problem since I all need is a proper tear drop FA and ejection port door which are still available. I appreciate the help folks. :) Pictures this weekend of current upper and lower it's going on. I appreciate all the help.

I remember having seen this flyer before, but just noticed for the first time that the 723 has an A1 upper (without brunton bump) and a large-head forward assist, which has to be notched since it's mounted on an A2 lower.  Thanks for posting WC!

Thank you Wildcat for another twist of the Model 723. Can anyone tell if the Delta ring is flat or tapered in the picture? My round FA looks a lot smaller also. Mine is probably current A2. Again thank you.

Watch the EE for C7 uppers.  It's where I got mine.

The FA is probably the early A2 type (big button with the area near the upper flat).

These look great. I've located Colt AR6720 16" pencil barrels for a 723 Carbine. Still shaking around price some. Looks like I'll be in business soon trying to finalize this project. You did a great job jrs93accord on yours.

I stand corrected: I just now pulled trigger on new OEM Colt AR6720 16" pencil barrel for this project. Will send to John Thomas for 14.7" cut and pinning of A2 flash hider. Your pictures jrs93accord were a bad influence on me.
