You still have to buy all the little machined parts to use the sights.
What is the price on the bild kit for A2?  Make sure you check.

Yeah you still have to buy all those dang parts, but $49.99 stripped is still cheaper then I have seen other stripped A2s go for.

They were $39.99 this past weekend. I paid one centavo less than that with shipping.

ETA: Geez, maybe I should have posted a heads up last night. Checked my E-mail, had a sales flyer from CDNN, ordered one, and hit the bed.

I got mine a couple weeks ago.  Bought the build kit from dpms for $50 and just finished assembly a couple days ago.  Very happy.

I ordered one these. I am an idiot for not getting the A2 build kit from DPMS. I got the forward assist assembly from CDNN and the A2 sight assembly and ejection port cover kit from Brownells.

FYI the picture shows a charging handle but the description does not and it does not come with one.

I bought mine years ago from Lar Grizzly when they were selling a ton of blemished uppers and lowers.

I think they were 35$.

Yep, DPMS has the pics switched. The $50.00 kit has no charging handle.

Does dpms build the a2 kit? I'm not so big on them.

Just a heads up, CDNN has the A2 upper on sale again for $39.99, so for another $9.99 for shipping you have a really nice forged A2 upper for $50.

ETA:

I bought the A2 upper assembly kit from DPMS directly for $50 shipped. It included everything in the picture EXCEPT for a charging handle. Still a good deal, but I am going to follow up with them.

Here's my $40 DPMS upper with DPMS upper parts. The sight kit is very nice. I modified a Harbor Freight pick I had in my tool box to compress the elevator spring.

I've used all sorts of DPMS parts and have not had a problem. Albeit, I've never used their A2 sight kit as I don't have an A2, but the A1 set I used was nice. With that said, stripped A2 is on the way.

Thank you very much for the picture of the modified pick.
I think I have one in my tool box I can use.
I went ahead and ordered some ( limit of 3 per order)

The parts went together with zero issues and looked well made. Elevation and windage knobs operate as they should. Port door and forward assist both seem to be well made units. If I had to guess, I would bet DPMS just sources these parts from the same places everyone else does.

I'm glad I didn't get the kit with the charging handle as that's about the only thing in it that they cheaped out on(6061 vs 7075).

I just finished my a2 with the dpms kit as well.  It went together smoothly.

I did have one issue, one of the three index springs was missing from the bag.  DPMS promptly shipped out a spring no charge and no hassle.

Good job DPMS!

Ordered mine from CDNN on Monday for $40 and it arrived Wednesday at noon! Overall it has a very nice finish and a good fit to my Bushmaster lower.

Very satisfied with my purchase!

I have a quick question about this upper and a WW 20" barrel.

I know this upper doesn't have ramps cut into it, would this barrel with M4 feedramps work in the upper or be constantly jamming?

M4 ramps are fine with a non M4 upper.

Just put the barrel in my DPMS upper and slapped it on my lower. The upper and lower are almost a perfect color match, even though that wasn't intended it sure is nice

The barrel is an M4 ramped 20" from PSA

I just picked up one of these too, still $50+$10s/h at CDNN. Gonna build an A2 just like I shot in BMT.
