Hello all,

Does anyone have any experience with the listed above 20" AR's? Is it true that colt lowers have a different pin size than others? I might want to witch uppers at the range and don't want to run into problems with another brand upper.  How does the Colt A4 and FN15 compare to each other? They are basically the same price.

Thanks,
Nate

I carried a FN M16A4 in Iraq.

Based off my experiences with it, I choose to buy a Colt AR15A4.

Was shooting it at the range a couple of hours ago.

The Colt AR15A4 uses standard pin sizes, it was older models that used different sized pins(I think the stopped in the late 90s, early 2000s)

This, and the FN15 isn't made by FNMI who makes the A4, it's made on a different line in a different state. The Colt is the closest you can get to a A4, FN did make the majority but our BN had four Colt A4's, I picked one of those every time we went toqual, shot great.
