I am building a couple A2 rifle (20") and as I look at the pictures some rifles use the triangle hand guard plate and some use the round plate.
What is correct?
I searched the threads and could not find an answer for this.
Thanks
Ron

Triangle, but make sure you get a .750 and not a .625.  The .625 would be for a pencil barrel, like in a retro build.

Ok, another question.

I was digging in my stock of parts and found 2 sets of rifle hand guards ( they look new).
They are large in diameter ( same size at both ends).
Heavy and well made.
To me they look military issue.

Most of the rifles A2 and A4's I looked at had the small diameter tapered hand guards.
I have spent 2-3 days reading the threads on the A2/A4's and didn't find the answer.
I may have just missed it.

Were these after market?
If not what did they go on?

Any help? Thanks

Ron

Fulton gets them from doublestar.  Might as well order direct from them as you can get them for cheaper that way.
