If it is a in fact a government barrel (which it sounds like it is) it will be chrome lined.

That is a chrome lined barrel (both chamber and bore). I have a couple of the identical barrels. They are excellent barrels and VERY accurate. All the FN barrels I have had have shot better than any other military barrels I have had, Colt included. You have one of perhaps the best barrels produced for our military, congratulations....<><....:)

Thanks much for the info! I got a FN BCG and unnamed CH from GB, so I have finished this rifle, but haven't had a chance to take pics or shoot it yet.
As luck would have it, I got another lower from a local ARCOM member a couple of weeks ago and am now trying to build a mid length A2 carbine with collapsible stock. BRD strikes again I guess.  |
